As for the diversification aspect. We are trying to diversify our dependence from oil exports to other sectors. Oil, our major export, is loosing value in the world fast, one of the reason why our currency is also not in high demand. This is why the value of our currency keeps falling, and leading to the increase in the prices of good and resources imported(purchased in dollars) and affecting other locally produced goods

The country is at the mercy of the fluctuations of the global oil market, facing bankruptcy and recession anytime there is a prolonged crash in prices. Three such recessions have hit hard since 2016. It actually a fundamental problem because making us a productive nation should have been the goal since Obasanjos era, what buhari is presently doing is patch and balance.
