Haba. How though? Don't they have a consideration of up to 20 hours in a shortage occupation?

Hi gurus, just to get clarity, I have got a tier 2 work visa. Working in the NHS, 40hrs/week.

Recently, I got a second job (care job) doing 36 hrs /week.

Seeing this updates from gov.uk website, hope I'm not breaking any rules?

https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/second-job
You are if the second job is not as a doctor, nurse or paramedic. Moreso I do not think we are still operating under covid guidelines.

Even the 20hrs on a second job with same occupation code and in shortage fear no let me take because I no wan hear stories. 5 years no far.

Hi all, I think I need a bit of encouragement. I moved to the UK on a student visa in December. Before relocating, I was doing quite well back home. Earned around 2-3m monthly profit after expenses from my business. In fact, I wanted to reward myself with a Range Rover Evoque (about 13m) then but Nigeria was in a bad state and I used up my savings to fund my relocation. I landed with high hopes, about £4000 in cash. The reason for my earlier statements is not to brag, but to show you that I was doing well, and I just felt coming here would be saner. I loved it here whenever I travel for vacation, so I was without doubt that life here would be easier.

To my main aim of writing, I think I am depressed. I could not find a job in my first 3 months here. The only job available that most students were doing was care, and I wasnt vaccinated, so I could not start. I eventually started in March and the job gives me a mental breakdown each time. I am on my feet for 11 hours, and get sent around by staff who feel they are better than agency workers, I get hit by residents, I have been racially abused several times ,I did it for 2 months and I had to quit.

I have looked for warehouse jobs, not been lucky. Even customer care work, they reject because of my visa status. I am fast losing it, there is so much my brain can take as a woman. Does anyone know how else I can get a job, I stay in Bradford, so anything around Leeds is fine. I can even work in Manchester if the pay is okay. Please help.

Have you tried doing some remote jobs? Now that you are depressed let me be your friend.

Regarding Skilled worker (previously Tier 2)
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19),

there’s currently no limit on the number of hours you can work or volunteer if you have a second job as an NHS doctor, nurse or paramedic.

Two factors:
1. Is the operative environment that of COVID -19
1.1 with the 'lapse' of COVID rules
1.2 near back to normal (albeit new normal)
2. Explicit or prescriptive job code
2.1 only NHS
2.2 only NHS doctor, nurse (which are defined, codified, regulated)
2.3 only NHS paramedic which 'does not extend' beyond what it is; think casualty, A&E
2.4 are councils' social care services the same as NHS (save for NI where we have HSC)

[Just in case, for those intending or new]

Hello family,

Please I need suggestions on the best way to continue my masters in US, from UK as I would be done with my masters program by September in uk. I already have my admission since 2020 but deferred to 2023 after I was initially denied at the US embassy.

Thanks

Justwise, I speak for Glasgow alone. Students with families are getting council houses. Heck, a single lady got 2 bed bedroom within 2 months( a miracle) after applying. I got one too. I know about 5 other families(applied) staying in council houses( housing association apartments), newly built sef.

Hi, please how did you go about it?
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by semmyk(m): 9:16am On Jul 11, 2022
1. Do you have the student visa for the US now.
Clarity:
2. You seem to say continue masters program from the UK in the States. You, however seemly indicating finishing this Sept in the UK: does this mean starting a new one in US.
If so, are they the same course or closely related, or will the US be a 'change' of career course or a 'supplementing' career depth (specialisation). These might crop up if you don't have the US visa yet.
3. Just thinking out loud, have you giving PhD a thought for the US

Well, I have not got a US visa yet. And yes I would be starting a new course in political science. PHD? Sounds cool. But I would like to know more about the MSc first.

Hi guys.

With regards booking a flight, are costs for seats a separate item to be paid for or are there passengers that lap each other?

Cos i was of the belief that flight deals on Skyscanner also include a seat to sit on at the very least.

What's now the talks of treating one's self to a tasteful flight experience wirh lots of leg room?

Are they going to throw the rest of us that don't pay for these optional seats in a cargo hold? Or will dey just give us random seats in between obese passengers.

grin

Make it no come be say nah stand person go stand for conductor slot for 21hr flight. Abeg help your jjc traveller.

I doubt anything would happen to Uber.

The leaks are more damaging for the fingered politicians.

Uber already said they weren't comfortable with then CEO's activities. Hence, they sacked him.

It'll be an interesting thread to follow.

Yes you pay however I found a way round this
Option 1. when you do electronic check in at the Airports you are given the option of choosing your seat
Option 2, be nice to the lady at the check i n counter and ask for window seat or preferred seat.
works like magic
