Our girls have been simply MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the showing today was absolutely heroic and stoic!!!! I am more than proud of them. No need for any blame games on our side. They all gave 200%. On to the WC, is the WC next year?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:50pm On Jul 18, 2022
And the plan worked out albeit not without our 9 amazons fighting till the end.

2 red cards, several calls in your favour, yellow instead of red for similar red card incidents, level field properly levelled for you and your shameless lionesses yet you couldn't win in regulation time or extra time.

It is rather an Onumonu miss that sees you through.

Thanks so much for putting our girls through hell. The way this Semis went actually showed there was no need for the game at all. The script was already written.

Well done Falcons. We move.

Nope the referee and VAR officials spoilt the match. Why didn't Morocco get their own red for a similar foul? If they had, Ajibade might not have picked up the 2nd red card.

You see this Nepotism and Favouritism is not only a Nigeria thing. Africa has a long way to go to match their Asian and European counterparts. Anyways I am ecstatic for the girls they fought till the end.

This girl's were amazing
Respect #9 vs 11
Super impressive.

No team can ever pull that feat in this tournament. It's sad we failed through penalties. But penalties are mostly luck.

Huge shout-out to
Ucheibe
Plumptre
Payne
Ebi
Nnadozie
Ajibade
Ohale
Gift (the hope in attack when all was against us)

My stand out players.

Shoutout to Randy and his assistant. From Botswana till Morocco. You've been a good coach. Setting up a 9 against 11 game is not an easy feat.

We play against Zambia and hopefully we use bronze medal hold body.

Super proud of these players dedication. 11 against 9 is not easy at all. Morocco rode their luck today. If it was 10 against 11, I'm sure we will beat them. Moroccans are not spectacular as people rate them, they can't finish to save their lives, beautiful football without end product is zero. They had zero shot at goal in the first half when we were 11 apiece, it was the early 2nd half red card that gave them momentum. And Ajibade red card ended the game. Big shout out to Ohale,Okobi and Ucheibe.Luck didn't smell on Monday, that shot that struck the bar, well all is well. They improved in their overall display as the tournament progresses. Pk is anybody's game, better luck next time.

To be honest I think they were all right calls. I really wanted to see another replay of the Tunisian lady's foul on Ohale but it wasn't shown more than once. A stamp on the feet is not a red card but a stamp on the ankle is.

Bowing out with a fight is what we love. This team can never be forgotten. They couldn't do anything when it was 11vs11. It had to be 11v9, yet they couldn't do it. Still took a tired Ify to give them the advantage.

Congrats to the Super Falcons.

Pls who else noticed that it looked like the coach didn't actually select the pk takers? They did that among themselves. Nawa o

But the coach shouldn't have removed Kanu

I was thinking he was even going to substitute onumonu

What next?

Squad just need addition.

Coach and crew??

Rita sub was looking like it was cos of pk. But it's further showing how Waldrum thinks. It's annoying. Can't overlook that. Ordega should have played a part compared to Onumonu. Oh my. That lady was fatigued.

Hmm. It's really hard to tell from just a picture but it was worth reviewing at least. The referee just passed on like nothing had happened.

How did you find out this one?? Were you on the pitch? So what were they now doing with the coach after the extra time?

Supersports has been so annoying, biased and sentimental in this championship. They made it clear that they didn't want Nigeria to reach the final especially that South African former captain. They shouldn't worry, Morocco will roast them in the final. Africa has a long way to go!

It's not an African thing.

It's a global thing.

When it comes to sports the Nigerian administrators need to learn to select the best and teach them finish off teams and always be calm.

Just watched the game highlights and I must say I have massive kudos to the SF for a valiant effort, despite all the odds stacked against them…

Thankfully, barring any injuries, both Ayinde and Ajibade will be available for the 1st World Cup game because they will serve out their suspensions in the bronze medal game.

A straight red means 3 match ban or have they changed it

Nah. For the AWCON and most other international competitions, it’s a one-match ban (provided the player wasn’t carrying 2 yellows prior to the straight red)
