Ndipe:The parents might be blamed for bad parenting and bad upbringing.. But you see the responsibility,, the adult child should be held fully responsible. |

Read the story of James and Jennifer Crumbley who are being charged for the school shooting carried out by their son, Ethan. They are insisting they shouldn't be held accountable for his heinous actions. |

Ndipe:A 15-year-old is nowhere near being an adult. An adult would be someone about 22 years and older. ![]() |

It varies from one country to another. In the US, an eighteen year old is legally an adult while in Nigeria, I think it is 21 years old. There have been calls for certain juveniles to be tried as adults. Ndipe:These aren't always about the legal age but age a person is truly considered to have all the freedoms that go with being an adult. For instance, the legal drinking age is still 21 in many states. ![]() |

Since "there aren't always about the legal age but age a person is truly considered to have all the freedoms that go with being an adult," then, maybe, that is why they government want to try the 15 year old murderer as an adult (to attract stiffer punishment) instead of a juvenile. Kobojunkie: |
