He deserves it. Almost all politicians are their, tinubu is an innovative one even if he is a theif.

When Obasanjo stopped paying Lagos then, most government would have failed in that condition but he excelled.

Tinubu was trying to create more LGAs which in itself was suppose to be a fair action if not for the fact that it was for politically selfish motive. The argument then was triggering a national instability cos then other states then would go back and replicate same thereby eventually causing more divisions and crisis, which was obsanjos beef with Tinubu I think and his reason for holding back his LGA fund for refusing to maintain stausquo and even taking him to court. He eventually ended up creating LCDAs and they argued it court and though he won because as long as the remain LCDAs, it's within the LASG's purview to so as long the enabling laws by the SHoA permits to do that. However, the cannot be granted full status of a LGA cos it will require NA to create the enabling laws. Mind you, this will lead to the trigger I mentioned earlier.
That been said, these LCDAs that were kick off were designed to be Tinubu political base cos ofcourse, all his loyal party men at that time were those listed to be administrators of the LCDAs to absorb party faithful into the workforce and civil service and that's how Lagos civil service and the Local government service commission began to nose dive. So while on one hand, it seemed he was doing Lagos good by expanding by penetrating into the grassroots with the LCDAs to provide extensive governance, on the other hand, the LCDAs became like an occultic grasroot system to mobilize revenue, political workforce and other resources that will give him a full grasp of the state. He was able to customize a system that gave him the grasp of the terrible hold he has over the state cos those LCDAs became the political structure he would use to build the AC, ACN and APC we have in Lagos today. As we speak today, Lagos is no longer the land of the free. I can continue to give you the analysis of events but I will stop here.

In my opinion, that section of the Nigerian law is not realistic. Therefore, it should be amended or expunged.

With the cost of living getting worse, nobody can conveniently survive on just one government job. Everyone deserves a second stream of income, as far as the government job is not negatively affected.
That's why they said farm. Are farmers not rich people?

So after 8 years of relentless insult sane Nigerians should vote you Ipob Igbo

Nigerians, let's learn to follow man that knows the road. Enough of Muslims taking us for granted. Tinubu has dared us by choosing a Muslim deputy, let's speak through our votes. Our fathers in the faith have spoken, Oyedepo, Johnson Suleiman, Enenche etc and CAN generally. The battle line has been drawn. If the over 28 million Christians in the North can cooperate with all the Christians in the South and pull our weights behind Peter Obi, then we are sure of winning. It is simple but requires dedications and focus. I AM OBIDIENT.

Exactly, let alone where many government are not meeting their obligations by paying salaries as at when due. What do they want the worker to do. It is hypocrisy to fail on your own agreed obligations and wants to hold someone else on the same standard. Let them expunge that law

All you do is talk nonsense about your opponents since you have nothing you can use to promote your Mini-god.

Stop spamming Nairaland with childish threads and commemts. We need issues based campaigns biko.

Let Tinubu grant his 1 hour interview then we pick it from there.

Fools

Yeye! None of the candidates have BRT, LASTMA, RRS, 5 new General Hospitals, 5 Housing Schemes, Eko Atlantic, Lekki Free Trade Zone etc to showcase like Asiwaju can so U are clearly wrong. There is no contest if trackrecord is the criteria!

Which conflict of interest? He had investment. People were remitting money to him. He's not opening shop and selling market. Can a civil servant invest in real estate?

He was on private business by having other business investments, as well as people remitting money to him, while he was a government employee.
It's conflicts of interest.

A civil servant is not supposed to invest in real estate.

Whether it's Decree or Constitution, even the blind or the deaf knows that it's Conflict of Interests for a government employee to engage in a private business. The private business of a government employee shall distract the employee from rendering optimal dedication to the employee's government job.
Yes it might be morally wrong but it wasn't illegal back then if the decree used then or even the civil service rule then didn't specify it. Something can be wrong morally but not legally

Was Atiku a civil servant after 1999 or before?

He was a custom officer in the 60s to late 80s, so how does 1999 constitution apply to him?

Tinubu urchins are hopeless. I blame the moderator who didn't vett this topic before pusing it to the front page
When I hear dumb comments from Nigerians like this, I just confirm that nothing good can come out of the country
Tinubu's illiterate urchins are despicable thieves , liars ,senseless and ethics bigots . This guys can not say one thing that Tinubu can do for Nigeria instead they're busy insult every one calling people Obituary (maybe obituary of their parents) no reason for supporting Tinubu aside tribal and religious sentiment .

That would even be better since this is the path you all are towing by saying A Muslim vice was chosen based on competence...So Let Christians vote for Obi while Muslims vote for either Tinubu, Atiku or Kwakwanso...

Then let us see who will emerge victorious...!!
You think you are smart, abi?
But you no get brain at all, so Christians should vote for only Peter Obi? Christians should vote for many other Christian candidates too,
I did not tell you that i surpport any moslem moslem ticket, so be humanly guided.

Yes the inter-borders transport business is fraudulent and illegal choice of investment especially as a custom officer........

What decree was in use when he was still a custom officer? Did the decree prohibit civil servants from holding other jobs like the 1999 constitution does?

So, we had only military rule from 1960 to 1999? You should be asking what was in the constitution those days before 1999 amendment.

My post is not a hate post against Atiku. 1989 when he retired from Customs, we were in Military regime. It will be unfair judging him with 1999 Constitution for something that happened way before 1999. That's the reason I asked what the decrees/constitutions back then said with regards to Civil servants having another business.

I will never advise anybody to vote for him, he cannot give us the new Nigeria we're clamouring for.

I will advice Tinubu and Atiku to step down and become Obedient to save their images and avoid this additional dent of failure that is impending.
