Did my gamified test on July 14. Has anybody seen any mail of progress apart from the rejected letter and assessment in progress?

There is no need to be desperate about this. So far you have given it your very best at the time. The mail must eventually drop either good or bad. Well, if it is bad it doesn't mean that you are not good. Just move on... Better opportunities awaits you.

I think everyone who's yet to get a mail (success or reject) should exercise some patience. the screening process obviously is carried out in batches. total number of applications may be up to 100,000 if not more.

The reject mails noted that there are presently no openings in the areas the candidates applied for. it could also be that their performance didn't quite meet the job requirements.

So, for those whose status read "assessment in progress" or "review in progress", it means your application is being reviewed with respect to the job areas you applied for (and probably your performance in the initial assessment).

when your application has been reviewed, you'll surely get a mail. Shell recruiters rarely forget to send mails. it may take weeks or even a couple months.

just relax and hope for the best.

Of course nau, It's only when they review your application they can either send a regret mail or success mail. Anyone who receives a success mail would still be from "Review in progress". It was exactly like this in an old thread.

I am not sure. Do they check their portal every seconds? It's possible it may have moved to "Review in progress" and same day they recieved an ODVI invite but the person would think he move straight to ODVI. Shell is unpredictable, there's no timing to when you will get an ODVI even if you weren't "regretted".

The whole recruitment process is mostly automated/artificial intelligence to benchmark candidates.
The computer automatically knows the top scorers.
Then it can begin to look at gender balancing,grades/ Gpa,qualifications,departmental quota and Nigeria quota system.
Reasons we all provided our data as an input for the computer.
All must be balanced with competencies shell demanded .

Who told you Nigeria quota doesn't exist? The asset shell is recruiting for,belongs to Nigeria government, shell is just an operator.
You will see young talented Nigerians from different regions of the country in the program.
Shell must obey all the local laws pertaining to the business.

He didnt say Nigeria quota system does not exist but rather is not applicable in shell.. you saying shell must obey all the local laws pertaining to the business sounds as if shell is recruiting only foreigners.. for shell to allow Nigerians to apply for the job never do u? Not true. There is nothing to understand because it’s a fallacy. Shell does not recruit based on where you come from in Nigeria. It’s sheer competence and everybody has equal right. Only federal government parastatals are obliged by that rule. Imagine you tell me as a private company owner of an international company that I must employ every tribe of this country.

@ Nigeria government own 55% equity of the business. Others ,Shell ,agip,mobil...co -share the rest equity.
