Thank you very much!

I submitted
• Original recent 3- months Account statements of my host sent via chronopost.
• Original Letter of invite written in French and English duly signed by my host.
Stating, I'll spend just 3 weeks to see go visit his family and other places in France and I'll be back, since he's seen mine.

Which of course, I would! I no wan spoil my record.

• Attestation D'accueil of my host gotten from the town hall.
• Passport page of my host in colored format.
• My host's Nigerian visa copies (2x) he visited this year and last year.
• My NOC from my employer, I'm a Biology teacher.
• Already filled and signed France visa registration form.
• VFS Appointment letter.
• My recent 6-month account statements.
(Teachers don't earn much, so I printed 6 months, so that it could suffice).
and God's grace too; my overall account statement was just 400k and #50k ending balance.
• My 2-colored Int'l passport pages.
• Already bought 2-way tickets from Wakanow.
• Travel insurance from Alliance.
• Visa format Passport photographs taken very close to VFS.

From the day of submission, to the day i got the visa. My heart was always in my mouth.
Heart palpitations.
Because i knew my statement was nothing to show about.

All in All, God is Great.
Congrats

wow that Good news

congratulation to you
what are the documents submitted to Her others too

artofalternativ:
Thank you, it was delivered yesterday. Issued a multiple-entry visa valid for three months.

The funny thing is that I didn't even have proof of funds grin the total money in my accounts as at the time I submitted wasn't even up to 300k. Though I'm a frequent traveller (to the US, first time EU) and I explained in my cover letter that last month I paid two years' rent hence the temporary shortage of funds. I also had my ticket fully paid for already.

Congrats...

Did you accompany your bank statement with a payslip? Can a stamped 5 or 6 months bank statement suffice without payslip?

I don't understand people that travel to France for tourism and stay in Paris. If you do even a little research you'll see that that city is highly overrated as a travel destination

Not even only France, in most countries the capital and most big cities will be oriented towards government, business, industry, finance, etc (as they should) not holiday-goers. There will still be tourist attractions and entertainment but if you don't know somebody who lives there that can show you around properly, you won't have the best time

If you're travelling solo and you really want to enjoy yourself, look for where the country's own citizens go to for vacation if they can. In this case that would be the south/the French Riviera. Beautiful towns and villages, fresh air, plenty plenty beaches, and the people are friendlier

I totally agree but most landmarks are situated in the capital

Trying to make reservation with Emirates, cause my appointment is 2 August and their flight tickets for September is so expensive bruh is there any cheaper airline I can use? Btw I’m hoping I get positive feedback on my application

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m):
Hello,

You planned to use 60 days, i hope your visa has a 90 days stay?

Because the three months you were granted is just the visa validity period.

Hi,

You made a very little point, there are lot of places to see in Paris, the only constrain is that it is very expensive, i have travelled far and wide, you spoke about Country's Capital not having enough attractions rather businesses, E-commerce and the likes, i am glad to tell you Paris Stands out and it is a combination of all these.

You also spoke about looking for where lot of Parisians go for Vacation so you could go too, i am also delighted to tell you that i have met lot of Europeans in Paris, people from Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, US, India holidaying in Paris France and some of them claimed it wasn't their first time.

Furthermore, you spoke about Paris (being) overly rated, i do not reside in Paris neither do i reside in Europe, i visit often, Paris is not overrated, Paris Beats many cities in the World, just take their Metros & Buildings arrangement as a case study.

In addition, just count yourself lucky, the French Visa you got with less than 300k naira without having a sponsorship account (Inviting host) wouldn't have been possible if not for your three American Visas.

France, amongst the Schengen States knows how to return your passport back to you without visas, very good at it, they became soft recently with Frequent travellers.

You just have to figure out what works for you, i will always visit Paris twice a year for just visiting other places for Business and Work.

Regards,

Lol but Paris really is a sh*t hahahaha. And I say this as someone that's lived there and even speak French. Heck, my French friends don't even like Paris like that. I'll even say the Eiffel is ugly but I do not like to spoil the mystery for others. Have you been in Paris in February ? Have you gone beyond the tourist areas ? Gone into the city ? I mean the Eiffel makes for good pictures, and there are indeed some colorful spaces but the cost of the city is (as was said earlier) exaggerated.

Lyon, Strasbourg, Marseille other french cities I'll live in before Paris. tongue
