He could. Especially if Loftus-Cheek leaves as part of the deal for Chelsea to bring in Fofana. Time will tell shaa.

The next couple of ins and outs will give us a clearer picture.

hmmmm person wey no be starter for villa to Dey play games for almighty Chelsea? He is highly rated for sure but a move to a midtable epl side or bundesliga would hv afforded him more playing time

You mean Iroegbunam.

Yeah, played and won same U19 Euros tournament with England alongside Carney just early last month.

charlesemeka85:
I don’t mention him often because I know he will be hard to get judging by his strong commitment and also an integral component of the English u21 team currently

Getting him will be a surprise to be honest. The one I know we can get with time is Tim irogbulem

yes, he is a dm and highly rated as well. Another that is ours to grab now is Faustino anjorin but he has to light up the championship this season to attract talks with the nff. Highly rated too but yet to convince me

I think Chelsea is getting him now with an eye on the near future.

Chelsea's major CDM/CM options, Kante and Jorginho, are 31 and 30 respectively. Carney could be their young blood for the near future to step in.

As for if he will see games or be loaned out, like I said, it does depend on their ins and outs this remaining period of the summer transfer window.

But one thing you can be rest assured is Southgate have got an eye on this one with this move added to the fact he is also U19 European Champion as a Regular starter for England bagging 3 goals and 1 assist at same euros tournament.

We could have a chance with time but it depends on how we go about it and if the circumstances just align in our favor.

All these, time will tell.

I understand that but trying to say that one of his reason of leaving villa is because of lack of playing time

Chelsea is a big and rich club that I doubt will hv that patience for him to grow into any role they wish to use him in

Maybe they will loan him out after completing the deal

Milan earlier showed interest and to me it would hv been a better destination for him in terms of more playing time

The fee being quoted by Genk is way above Copenhagen's budget and will shatter Denmark's transfer record.

6 million euros.

Copenhagen and Genk have already confirmed that they've been in negotiations.

Copenhagen lost today.

Cremonese could complete Dessers signing by next week, according to Di Marzio.

Which might mean that Copenhagen cannot cough up the money.

Yeah. I know Tim's profile already. Played double pivot with Carney at U19 Euros in 3 out of their 5 games.

As for Tino Anjorin, he really left me wondering why he didn't do enough in Russia at Lokomotiv. After all the hypes in that move and even handing him the #10 shirt despite his being a loanee. His flop period there led to him being loaned again to Huddersfield to finish the 21/22 season. Huddersfield made the EPL promo Playoffs but Anjorin was benched throughout the Playoffs. Didn't see a single min.

Now he's been re-loaned to Huddersfield for 22/23 and came off the bench in their first game.

Hopefully this Championship move will do him a world of good and show why he's always been well rated as a teenager.

I prefer he sign for the serie A new comers. A move to Copenhagen with his pedigree in europe with regards to the record he created last season in uefa conference league will be a backward move

If he performs in Italy this season even if his club gets relegated decent clubs from the same league will snap him up

he was injured during his stint in Russia which affected his form even when he left on loan to huddlesfield

I believe he did enough for the same championship team to take him on loan this season

A loan is possible. Time will tell.

Him leaving Villa for Chelsea is obviously not down to Playing Time. He sees Chelsea as the next step in his career and he is probably convinced about their plans for him.

But this discussion began majorly with our chances of capping the lad.
I trust you are convinced that him being loaned out could still give us a chance. But even that is no guarantee. The lad is 18. Will be 19 by October. I think he would still take his chances of waiting for his English Dreams like Eze is still doing even at age 24.

eze will face reality soon. I know he is gunning to play for England because of the upcoming World Cup competition but em eye go clear when dem drop am

His team mate olise said he will decide soon and rumor has it that Algeria is out of the picture and he will only consider Nigeria if he doesn’t break into the French snr team which to me will be a tough one for him

France has a lot of young talented wingers/Attacking midfielders. A nation where the likes of nkunku and leverkusen’s diaby hasn’t got enough chance in the first team. I strongly believe with time he will switch to us

Well, he hasn't looked convincing since beginning his senior career.

And he scored 1 goal in 8 games (none started), benched 5 times including the Playoffs. I wouldn't call that doing enough for a re-loan. I guess they just agreed to take him back as he's young and could still come good plus the fact that they need numbers in the squad as some could leave.

His first game this new season was off the bench. I guess he still has to show he can start for them.

Let us hope he comes good this time.

1-0 to FC Sheriff courtesy of Rasheed Akanbi's goal from the penalty spot.

His first official goal for the club.

And uhmm as I type this... plzen just equalised from the spot as well.

TheSuperNerd:
23 y/o Rasheed Ibrahim Akanbi starts for Moldovan Champs, FC Sheriff Tiraspol vs Czech Champs, Viktoria Plzen in the first leg of the UCL Qualifiers Round 3.

Game kicks off in 32mins.

Meanwhile, Charlesemeka85, the fee for Carney is reportedly £20Million.

Ouch... that's something to consider. Such amount for an 18y/o is much... but shaa time will tell as always on his first team chances this new season.

We watch.

See ehn... I just hope you guys can land my boy, Wesley Fofana. I rate that kid so highly. One of my favorite young CBs in the game today and easily one of the top young CBs in the world today behind De Ligt, Araujo, Kounde, Konate, Bastoni and co.

Just land Fofana then we can talk. wink

You take style put him behind Kounde and De ligt we reject Chelsea and Araujo, no problem. Is ok. grin

I had actually mentioned him alongside those other young CBs as being among the top rated when talking best young central defenders in world football currently. Did it in a discussion with Andy.

But trust me, Wesley Fofana is the Truth. Bag him and una defence is good to go alongside KK and TS. Kid is solid in almost every area.

Meanwhile... Your new owner shaa...Boehly... na him first summer as owner plus he just recently took over and wanted to handle the transfers directly. He didn't even bother to keep marina around.

Also, the major thing doing Una this window is that....

@bolded... are you for real? Lol

Aina is no CB naa.

Meanwhile... On Boehly, well doing things with a sporting director/club director like Marina before letting her go would have been easier. Making himself interim sporting director was just adding more to his already crowded plate.

Let's see how he wraps up things for you guys this summer before Sept 1st.

Biggest lessons for him this summer are the need for a director and..... the scourge of Barca in the transfer window. Lol grin

Slonina will join you guys for good in January, I understand after he wraps up the 2022 MLS season with Chicago Fire.
Highly rated in the MLS and yes, he's 18 too.

Kepa is leaving by the way. To Napoli.

Time will tell how soon Tuchel takes up Carney's integration into first team plans. Was practically England's best player at the U19 Euros which they won. So time will tell.

Exactly.

See how that panned for Simy Nwankwo.

On the other hand, look at Peter Olayinka in Czech. Plays regularly not even in the UCL but Conference, but still in national contention.

Rodrigo
Fabinho
Jorginho
Kante (DM Version)
Granit Xhaka
Kalvin Phillips
Declan Rice
Jonjo Shelvey

These are CDMs in the EPL with excellent and much better passing techniques and range compared to our own Ndidi.

Want me to go outside the EPL??

Jorginho, Xhaka and Shelvey are DLPs.
Anyway, what I was trying to establish is that a lot of things can affect the passing technique of a player. Correct me if I'm wrong but Partey was not this good with passes when he was at atletico. For a player that was converted from a defender to a midfielder and plays for a team like Leceister, let's cut Ndidi some slacks abeg.
Fact is Ndidi might actually improve his passing technique if he is playing for a team like Barca and city.
