Gumi: "I feel pity for the next president… Nigeria could face a greater insurgency.."

In an article entitled, “Let us Pity the next President” published in The Punch on Tuesday, Gumi said the next commander-in-chief has to act “quickly and carefully” when he assumes office.

The cleric said the economy needs a true nationalist to fix it, adding that the president will have to ward off “fake” corporate organisations.

“The next president is going to meet a great mess. In a metaphorical sense, the nation is suffering from three main disabling diseases. They are leprosy, diabetes, and HIV/AIDs; all in one body,” he said.

“In the case of leprosy, which is a disease that attacks the sensory nervous system, the brain is unaware of the suffering of the extremities.

“The presidency, which represents the brain, is not getting the true picture of the grassroots suffering and the excruciating poverty breaking the masses because the feedback system is attacked by corruption, wickedness, and immorality.

“The presidency, which represents the brain, is not getting the true picture of the grassroots suffering and the excruciating poverty breaking the masses because the feedback system is attacked by corruption, wickedness, and immorality.

“The president has to be careful of the dishonest clergy. Like mosquitoes, they feed on every system without adding any values except polarising the nation more on the religious divide.

“I cannot imagine a nation facing insurgencies left, right, and centre, yet the clergy would fold their arms without intermediating to see for conflict resolutions. Rather they are busy fuelling religious polarisation.”

Gumi said the recent BBC documentary and that of Daily Trust have exposed the ethnic and tribal undertones of the menace that has riddled the north-western part of the country.

“If the next president also follows the same trajectory, thinking that the present government was only dealing with the criminals with kid gloves, then a greater insurgency will definitely ensue,” he said.
The cleric said the country should not be governed by a sectional or regional politician but one who has a national appeal.

This is serious.

Let's be honest.

These bandits terrorists are majorly fulani, hausa and sometimes kanuri people who often shout Allahu akbar each time they kill people or detonate bombs.

I'm wondering why all Muslims have not taken to the streets to protest the evil use of the name by these terrorists.

I'm wondering why all imams, ustazs or scholars have not aggressively told their followers not to indulge in the killings and all.

Aren't Muslims embarrassed by these things?

There's a huge dent on the fulani tribes by these act of terrorism by some fulanis.

It is actually making islam and fulani people scary and unappealing.

Why are all Muslims in Nigeria not protesting against these things?

Why are all hausas whose image these fulanis are spoiling not standing up against this evil?

Why are the Hausas no dissociating themselves from these evil people using religion to destroy lives and destinies?

Why are they quick to kill?

He has started again. So says the undisputed minister of bandits and terrorist affairs. Blame the present evil regime that allowed his excesses.

Imagine this is a man that have free unhindered access to bandits/terrorists yet all the battery of security agencies in this country under this govt can't arrest him or gain good Intel on the operations of these treasonable elements?

Nigeria systems and institutions are all hallow. So, what do you want them to do? We need people who are competent, who will come to build the institutions, correct the institutions on intelligent and scientific foundation, not those who are propagandists trying to make us believe they are doing something when they are doing nothing.

With Peter Obi, Nigeria will be an example of abattoir, because he is already coming with baggages of insecurity, the unknown gunmen and IPOB miscreants issues are there unresolved, Kanu nnamudi is in the prison, no matter the way he seek to take him out of prison will be his doom

NigeriaIsGreat:
I'm actually not a Yoruba but I've lived in Yoruba land, Lagos precisely for long

Any Yoruba man or woman campaigning for Obi should have a rethink and retrace their step back. Though this isn't supposed to be so but you see those IGBOS have turned this election to tribalistic one. They have even turn it to religious one

I will support and vote for Tinubu. He has more achievements, antecedents and legacies to point at as a governor and when he left government than EVERY other contestants

Tinubu is very much accommodating and tolerance than other contestants. IGBOS are taking political position in Lagos. IGBOS are civil servants in Lagos and other South western states. IGBOS are doing businesses freely in Lagos and other south western region

Please go to any eastern state to see if you'd see any Yoruba or Hausa man as ordinary councillor. It is a TABOO to the Igbo

ACHIEVEMENT- I WILL VOTE TINUBU
TOLERANCE & ACCOMMODATING- I WILL VOTE TINUBU

For the northerners who reside in the north you can ask any of your family or friends living in Lagos and other South western states they will tell you how Yoruba are so friendly, loving and accommodating. Go to the state headquarter at Alausa ikeja you'll see igbos holding top position without any discrimination

Go to east and see how all positions are occupied completely by all igbos.

An average IGBOS are resentful, spiteful, hateful, bittered et al. They literally see themselves better, superior and more sophisticated than other tribes.

PLEASE verify this my claim if you aren't aware of it and make a decision on who to campaign and vote for

I leave you to your conscience!!!

- The whole security agency civil service system needs total overhauling of staff especially the top echelon....

- Rural heads needs total overhaul aswell in all regions experiencing conflict.

Move staff to different parastatals and agencies randomly every 1year and 6mths maximum, who does not move is shown the door.

This would curb corruption, expose corrupt person and loop holes early enough.

I and my family didn't support APC, whether in 2015 or 2019.

Therefore, I pray God will spare me and my family from the insecurity ravaging the land.

Those who voted for APC and still support APC will face their nemesis in the hands of bandits, Boko Haram, killer herdsmen and terrorists.

Only Peter Obi would fight insurgency without sparing the sponsors.

If Kalashinov Shittima eventually becomes the Vice President, Nigerians will know the real difference between wicked and Evil.

Muslim-Muslim Ticket,
Drug lord and Boko Haram Commander.

Only in Africa..

The next president, no matter how well he does, will be regarded as the worst president in the history of Nigeria. The job is the most difficult job at the moment. So many things are going wrong all at once.
