You guys are very funny in Nigeria and thats why oyibo dey use una mop ground.

Swift offers super unlimited internet at 25k a month. Same with Smile and Spectranet. But una penchant for anything oyibo dey kill una.

Pray tell me, what do you intend to do with a speed of 100MBPs? Are you streaming data from heaven?

I do hope you know that at 99$ a month and you have like only 1000,000 subcribers... Thats 99 million dollars leaving that country monthly? Una wan die?
$99 is for startup kits and not subscription.
If they can cut down startup kits by 1/6 then they will surely cut down sub too!

Swift doesn't offer unlimited Internet service.
The unlimited service is only available at night time and weekends and I have read very horrible reviews about their services. Besides, Swift is not available to my location.

Smile is a huge pile of trash. Hardly get 3mpbs in my location, let's not even talk about the 'unlimited' stuff with them. I purchased their router and Internet plans and can authoritatively tell you they are a huge pile of shit. Maybe my location.

I also use vsat Internet, Konnect Africa. They offer Internet services similar to Swift and can be good at times but I currently cannot understand their free night unlimited in their plans.

Mtn hynetflex is by far the fastest but they are not unlimited.
I have over 5 different routers and can tell you Internet services are piece of trash in Nigeria.

What I do with 100Mbps?
I currently get an average of 90mbps with mtn in my location and I do stream a lot in 4k resolution on Netflix and other services and sometimes 8k on YouTube.

That ping on the router is on the high side though sad

Lol
This is so false!
Having 4k TV is not the issue but getting the real 4k content not the upscaling part which many TV algorithms will end up messing up.

If you watch real 4k contents there is no way you compare them with full HD.

Dude I have been watching 4K for years now. I bought my 4K TV years ago when I first got my PS4 and I have been streaming 4K content on Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. No be today I start to use 4K. All TV services here have 4K viewing options as well

Maybe I am getting too old sha so my eyes can't really see that much of a difference cheesy

not every Nigerian can pay $99 (btw the range of NGN64,000 - NGN64,400) for internet in a month, hope u knw?

most Nigerians will still choose to pay Airtel and co less than NGN5K (btw the range of $11 - $12) for a month for internet connection...

Starlink will be useful to few who can afford it. Airtel and co might be cheating us with expensive data but they are kind off offering to us what we can afford. While on the other hand, Starlink is providing to us what we deserve but not all of us will be able to afford it...

Hope u get my point
Y'all should read to understand..they said start-up kit not monthly price, they just reduced monthly fee in Europe to €50 and i expect Nigeria to be much cheaper monthly

Don't mind these Nigerians that just like to show off. I have a 4K TV and I can tell you the difference between the 1080p HD resolution and the so called 4K is just minuscule.

Nigerians love talking too much and showing my off. Nonsense.
You have a 4k TV is different from you watch a 4k Movie. The TV no go change the movie resolution for you.

The difference is very visible. Except na another type for 4k TV you dey use watch your 4k movies/streams

I've use swift, smile and Spectranet before, I had to abandon them for MTN Hynetflex.

In terms of speed and reliability, MTN is still the best for now, base on my experience.

Sir I beg to differ. Swift has high speed unlimited internet at 25k a month. I have used severally.

I have gotten speeds of up to 10mbps.

I ask again, what do we really need 4k or 8k movies for when we are not oyibo?

Are you aware that 1080 movies are super clear not to talk of 2160?

If you observe, all my talks is geared towards non wastage of funds which this star link is all about.

What they offer is already offered by Swift and MTN at a far cheaper rate. Thanks.
10Mbps is less than 2MB/S.
That's pretty low speed.

No need dragging this. Swift offers capped data services but unlimited at off peak periods and weekends.

Similar to what I get at Vsat services but over 5 times the speed.

As much as I get your point on the cost of StarLink data services, it's 4k for me please.
There is no basis comparing 4k resolution with full HD, the difference is like day and night.

The iptv I am using offers 4k resolution in over 70% of their live channels and VOD.

I currently pay way more than 25k monthly for super stable internet. Pay almost $300 monthly. I’d grab a $100/month 100MBPS reliable offering over my current 15Mbps and 170k/month offering

Oga, for every $99 spent on Starlink, a freelancer or financial trader can pull in at least 5-10 times that amount, which is spent on the local economy. So for 99 million dollars leaving Nigeria (not true as the company will still pay tax), you have a potential 450 million to $1billion which can enter the country.

Patriotic Nigerians should oppose this starlink initiative. The government will no longer be able to sanction networks for not cooperating.

This is a threat to national unity and security.

On the bright side perhaps more Nigerians will have access to worldwide information, be able to watch or download wide variety of media, be presented with challenging opinions. These people will no longer be easily fooled by foreigners taking advantage of their ignorance to rile them into feeling inferior and wanting to tear themselves apart because they have been made to dream of abroad as heaven and Nigeria as hell.

Is time to send glo packing

Don't rejoice or throw your Glo simcard away yet cos this starlink is meant for big companies that can afford the monthly subscription which is expensive for an average Nigerian user.

$110 per month that's ₦70k+.

Even if they want to pity us and slash the price by half which is ₦35k a lot of Nigerians can't pay that.

So that's why I believe small companies are the one to enjoy this

You and I know that most Nigerians can not be trusted.

It is better for them to remain ignorant and isolated from the internet because they can use it to oppose the government.

That is why the North is still loyal to Nigeria but the South East and now South West wants to break away.

Lol. Mr man, Fiber works with cables to the ground, and Sub routers on the streets, powered by 24hr electricity.

No fiber company will survive Nigerias dead electricity that goes on and off, that will be the same way your Fiber goes on an off daily.

What you’re being sold is Broadband disguise MF as Fiber.

And it costs hundreds of Millions in USD to cable just the Island of Lagos with fiber, which can take up to 5years. When did this your unknown company run their cables? Where are their router points

What does your Fiberone offer you?
