One thing I detest so much about the chinese is that they believe very much in fight and violence. They think everything in life is shaolin and kong fu film. They lack simple humanity as romance and sensible conversation, its always fight from begining to finish. You are funny. Taiwanese military did not promise to move heaven and earth. It was China that threatened the US, and US dared them. China should have hit Pelosi's plane with a projectile or one of the US military bases around them. Or they could have sent one missile into Taiwan, and see if all hell will not let loose.

I am not underestimating the Chinese military but they have certainly not got to the point they can challenge the United States. They can only bark but not bite.

It definitely will Affect Korea and Japan , if a war breaks out. Because those two countries are the closest to China and from the logistics point of view, they are the best place for USA to launch an attack on China from, because those two countries are literarily the US colony, they are currently not independent. Which means , those countries automatically become part of the war.

You can also read about the first, second and third Taiwan crisis. All these occured at a point Taiwan has not become a chip manufacturing powerhouse.
