Good evening all. Please thinking out aloud and trying to find out from our experienced senior colleagues, If ASUU should call off the strike this week are we to resume work immediately judging by the fact that majority of us are now broke?

Will government pay us all our money first before we resume?

These questions are just bothering me because I work in a wicked department where u will be expected to resume immediately whether u r buoyant or not.

Normally, before strike is called off, government pays everything that is been owned. That has been my experience of several strikes.

I think staff will resume immediately while schools will release circular for students resumption.


To all polytechnic and college of education staff that has been enjoying salary while university workers stave, I hope non of you will scream of descrimination tomorrow when university staff start receiving jombo pay. You can't eat ur cake and have it. We all are supposed to fight this battle together but you chickened out.

ASUU is not foolish to stand their ground. ASUU received last salary February. Nasu/ssanu received theirs last April.

Yet Nasu/ssanu chose to be the first to call off.

Between the two unions who's more threatened by hunger? February or April?

Whenever non academics are referred to as supportive staff make una no dey vex.

Nasu/ssanu will always be a second fiddle.

28. Politicians that became rich overnight stole our common wealth. They killed, destroyed and maimed to attain that position. They are not fit to be there. They are evil with blood stains on their hands. God's judgement is waiting for them.

It is not about party but the individual that God has brought to effect the true change we all desire. Don't be deceived by party politics, we must take back our country. Be wise. Vote Obi/Ahmed to take this country out of the hands of APC/PDP ocultic vultures.

Based on this information I was able to find out from the IPPIS desk officer that there's is a differential of 1.52%.
The normal old tax rate 6.61%
The new tax rate 8.13%
The federal government reviewed the tax rate without any notification. The Headquarters being at the Head of Service of the Federation's office I further made enquiries that it's applied to all the government MDAs.

Further enquiries would be made by the union to ascertain the actual reason for such an upward review without prior notice.
