When I saw "Rocky Mountain" at the beginning of the film, my mind flew to Stephen King. Mr King's fictional town is Castle Rock, so I instantly knew there was a connection somewhere.

As the movie progressed, I saw glaring elements of King's style. I had to pause the movie halfway to Google the writer of the original source material...and I wasn't too surprised to learn he is Mr King's son. His father's style rubbed off on him in his early years (seems he was mimicking his famous dad) before he evolved his own unique style of writing.

This movie is touching and evokes a multitude of poignant emotions. The best scenes are the last few scenes where Finney finally mans up. "Take a step forward, take a step back, move fast, and swing!!"

Beautiful.

I'm going to have to agree with Oyaskii on this one, the film is a certified dumpster fire. What made it worse was the fact that it took itself too seriously, otherwise, you'd chalk it off as a comedy or the type of film that requires you to switch off your brain in order to enjoy it.

Grade A talents are squandered here. Worse yet, a sequel is in the works. FFS Netflix.

Prime rubbish. It's that taking itself seriously like some good Spy thriller that annoys me about the movie.
The pretense was just annoying. If it was just marketed as a n action film, I wouldn't have bothered with its tropes. Fast and Furious franchise even becomes better and more sensible than this.

Six was literally handcuffed to a railing in the middle of town. A half-competent covert wet op team could take him out discreetly without anyone noticing. But not these guys, they'd rather get into a massive shootout with the cops and swat teams with miniguns for no reason while the target flees.

And the dialogue... oh my goodness. Imagine killing cops, civilians, and destroying properties worth millions of dollars in a foreign country, then getting chastised for being incompetent and reckless, then a random guy shows up on the tracker and tells you he's on Six's trail, and you smugly say, "What I do can't be taught." As in, WTF?! So we're supposed to believe Lloyd is still good at being a psychopathic free lance wet op because one of his thirty hirelings survived a botched public hit?! Wow!

Don't even get me started on the Tamil assassin who added nothing to the plot.

Plain asinine rubbish was the order of the day for that movie. It's probably got the worst dialogue ever for a Spy movie.

I just dey laugh like WTF, kidnapping and killing former directors of CIA and MI5 without consequences was just laughable. I initially thought maybe ppl were a bit overboard in criticising the movie until I watched it myself.

For an over the top action movie it fits well. No logic, just enjoy. But marketing it as a Spy thriller is the annoying shït about it.

Really hilarious. Especially the “bonds that transcends word” and summoning full strength part. Really made me laugh.

Even the part where he said he was rooting for the couple that couldn't understand eachother
