mine was processed in two days now I am scared. Because it's so fast I submitted on Wednesday at VFS and on Friday I was told that it's ready for collection. Is there a chance of a success rate I have not collected it yet

. The purpose of my travel is for studies. I am on a self sponsoring. I made full payment of 8000 euros for my school fees. And my bank statement two times the required amount. I only have travel history to Dubai. But I was not allowed to submit the Dubai visa as it was not allowed. I applied for a long stay. I submitted my CAC tax payment receipt and a proof to my source of income and job. I made other necessary things. I am really worried as this was really fast submitted on Wednesday got a reply that it's ready by Friday. My school resumes October not even September. Please what are my chances.

This is strange and you went through Campus France and submitted the confirmation letter from them as part of the documents?

To be honest I have no idea,cos they saying it was not reliable is confusing,as long as you submitted the right documents I see no reason why you should be denied.

Get a verified immigration lawyer and appeal. They have no reason of denying you a student visa after submitting the right and even paying your tuition fee

I think I have an idea,you mentioned you were denied tourist visa earlier in January right?
Now you applied for study in August,from what I have heard it raises a flag for consulate as it shows education might not really be your intention.

. When I applied for tourism then I just wanted to know what the country looked like before going. This is just a pure act of racism. It's stupid if I don't want to go why will I pay the complete school fees of 8000 euros. If this is how they think then it's really heart breaking

My two cents...I suggest you reapply and write a cover letter addressing your past tourist visa refusal, explain the reason behind your choice of your current program, your interest and qualifications that support your interest in the program. I do not know which docs you submitted the first time but include all the docs that folks on this thread have listed. If possible, include your previous degree certificates and NYSC certificates. I am sure you have this but include the admission letter and other documents the school sent to you, and proof that you have paid your tuition fees. Include a list of these docs in your cover letter and provide these supporting docs with your application. Although the reason by the embassy appears vague, address any thing in your application that you think a neutral observer may be thrown off by. There is no harm in submitting more docs than required as the additional docs may clarify any issues.

You can apply as soon as you can especially as your classes don't start until October. There have been instances where schengen visas have been issued soon after a rejection so be hopeful and reapply.

At this point, an immigration lawyer may not be very helpful and may take advantage of your desperation and anxiety to make money off you.

when applying did you mention about your tourist refusal when submitting your student application
you should have talked ABOUT IT in your letter of explaination

Please gurus, I received this mail 3 days after I submitted my application at VFS and I haven’t received any other message or mail from them ever since then. Please who knows what this means?. I learned there’s supposed to be another mail stating that the embassy has received it and the processing one, It’s been 12 days since I submitted at VFS Abuja.

Check the VFS tracker, sometimes the mail takes time

Getting a French immigration lawyer is not a bad idea if you have the resources to get one. However, from what I have observed, immigration lawyers are best suited for immigrant, settlement visas, or long-term work visas. There is no harm trying and this decision is up to you.

The International Student Services of your school may be able to help you with a list of reputable French immigration lawyers that they have worked with. Just be sure to still address all the issues that others have mentioned in your cover letter (i.e. past refusal, explanation, evidence of funds, bank statement that does not show unexpected large deposits, supporting docs etc.). An immigration lawyer can only do so much. The onus still rests on you. It is your visa application, not the immigration lawyer's application.
