a mortgage house in UK costs around 250,000 pounds to 300,000 pounds that's roughly 240,000,000 million naira. paying debts for how long.
How else does a teacher or bus driver buy a house ? any suggestions? Nothing wrong with debt if you are financially literate
You talk this way because you lack knowledge.

If you borrow money to buy a house at 3% interest and inflation rate is higher it is good debt.
Financially illiterate people fear debt because they do not understand it. Debt is just like a mirror it allows you do more with less. If you have a good job and you can 3% 4% or 5% borrow.

What is the interest rate in Nigeria

Mirror how? If you have a TV and some mirrors many more people can watch the same show,

Money loses value due to inflation all the time so it is foolish , in my opinion , to keep money in the bank. Rather borrow the money of those who do not know what to do with it . .
Many Nigerians in the UK have over 20 houses thanks to debt . Ultimately they borrowed but if they can get tenants and manage it so that the income exceeds the loan they are fine.

Summary do not keep money in banks , aim to have good credit worthiness and borrow as much as you can

Do you know how much Dangote is owing today? E go shock you

If you owe $1000 and you cannot pay dem go call police When you owe 100 billion dem go call meeting

Just imagine a Nigeria where you can borrow a 25 year loan at 3% interest

How will anybody spend 15-20 million naira to study abroad without proper planning? That person is a thief, he/her did not work for that money.

I agree 100% with all you've said. I'm looking at it from another angle. For most students in Canada, once you have completed your studies and/or the work experience portion, you'll have enough points to apply for PR so it's not dependent on being able to renew your work visa.

I believe it's same in Australia. US makes it easy to renew work visa. UK govt put too many huddles to renewing a work visa so boycott UK if you can.

Read this before embarking on a journey to United Kingdom England, before selling your land, car and other valuables and paying tuition fees of almost 18,000 pounds or more which today in Nigeria exchange rate is approximately 14,000,000 million naira. Think very well. we all know Nigeria is bad, insecurity and poor basic amenities and all. We have not even added accommodation and the frustration that comes with except you willing to stay in a University accommodation which is cheaper you be paying nothing less than 10,000 pounds at least 8,000,000 naira, have not added feeding now that's almost 30,000,000 naira all in total to come for a Master program just 1 year. cry cry cry cry that's not chicken change that's huge.

Now once you done you entitled to a 2 years post study visa where the UK government gives you time within the 2 years to get a job or else we be welcoming you back to Nigeria. Now the issue here is not you getting a job, there are lots of job in the UK, most companies are not ready to sponsor you for a tier 2 visa to work, infact even if you make it through the first stage and you been ask if you have the right to work and your reply is you will need a sponsor you might not hear from them again.

Its so unfair to international students that pay huge amount of money for tuition fees to come here and not getting any company to offer you tier 2 sponsorship letter most end up either enrolling back into the system taking a Phd programme paying another huge sum of money just to remain in the Uk, which is very sad, some even leave their degree and end up in care homes taking care of elderly people, mentally unstable people which you might be subjected to either been kicked, insulted and so on.

I think the school agents of this schools should inform students before embarking on a journey, where job is not guarantee and not just concern about hitting sales. Also discrimination, and pretence. i think Canada is better off in my own opinion. just think and way your options before u jakpa and come back to square 1. I'm surprised that someone who claimed to be informed is mistaking placement for a job? Placement is part of your course, its not a full time job, infact you don't really get paid

Leave these guys to keep making noise here. They cannot travel from point A to B in Nigeria without thinking of Bokoharam and Bandits. No electric power. No jobs. No nothing. There are jobs in the UK. There are nano degrees you can get online and work for foreign companies from the comfort of your home. But they all want office work. They expect to be gifted a job after Msc. Where in the world does that happen?

In UI (Ibadan) it is the same story. Student graduate and return for Msc. After a year or two of no job they return for PhD . They are in their thousands. But someone wants the UK to gift them jobs.

To the OP, if you cannot get a job, stay back home and do what you can! Not everybody travels for a job. I am a Medic. I make about 2.4m in two and half weeks from my online jobs and trading. I am moving to the UK for an Msc. And yes, I can earn around £130k to 200k per year easy.

Don't generalise. Give your advise and don't be condescending. And don't decide for people what they use their money for

Well that is what many people pay for mortgages in the UK That is why their economy works. Everybody who has an income can aspire to buy a house over 25 years .
Actually I am trying to be serious here. The question is why is that not happening today and how can we get from A to B as a nation so that we don't have to Jakpa. That is what is called VISION
There are loan sharks in the UK too but I am talking about loans that are collateralized with the house on a mortgage. You make a payment every month for 25 years just like paying rent but at the end you own the house.

To be fair interests rates are high in Nigeria and exchange rate instability makes banks unwilling to give long term loans.
To achieve currency stability we cannot have government borrowing irresponsibly and a CBN that lends irresponsibly too. If Naira was exchanging for 150 in 2014 and 700 today something is wrong and long term capital is not going to be available

Another thing is that we keep our foreign reserves in THEIR banks which they use for THEIR ECONOMY

We need stronger banks. At the moment Nigerian banks' main business is lending to government

Nigerian is one of the biggest emerging markets, people with ideas and entrepreneurial spirit are doing well in Nigeria. Nothing extra comes easy, if you want to travel out, you are free to, but please represent us properly abroad. Stop disgracing us and bad mouthing Nigeria from abroad, some of us love it here, it's our home. It's better for me to be doing well here, living in dignity, than live like a scum or poor man abroad.

Percentage population of blacks in the UK is 3.3%.
In a stadium of 200 ppl it means you will see only 6.
This of course varies widely depending on location.
That is not to say that blacks are even less likely to attend a football match but just so you know that they are in the very minority.

Deceit how? Is the UK government your government or THEIR government?
Are they deceiving you more than YOUR government
If they ALLOW you to come to study in THEIR country. Study and go back home.

I do not get how DECEIT comes into the conversation
