Are you talking about the same farmlands that some herdsmen from a certain tribe will waltz into at will, trample and still kill the owners. Those farmlands ![]() Zeekaycn: |

Magic1:This is little I know, Firstly, write GRE and Toefl, which are not compulsory for all schools but will help get a scholarship. Though, some suggest you email professors in your domain first to know if they need research assistance because it will fasten your process of being accepted if they like you. Secondly, send your result to WES so they can evaluate it. Thirdly, You can start applying to schools. Remember you should have your CV and statement of purpose, all these will contribute to getting accepted and as well being awarded a scholarship. |

Testpen:I have read several comments on working in Care Homes. What really are the issues with care homes? Is the work condition that terrible? |

Alajiki:There is dignity in labour. It's just the Nigeria habit of looking down on people working some types of jobs which is bad. I even watched a YouTube documentary not long ago where Sola shobowale said she worked some jobs and wasn't ashamed of it. I am sure that there are lots of people working care homes and that have financed houses, cars, sponsored family through university e.t.c on such jobs. Even from those care jobs, people can move on to become care home owners themselves or become bosses in the field. When I did back room job at stadium as a student, alot of us Nigerians saw the job as rubbish due to our entitlement mentality but alot of the eastern European guys there had risen to top positions just by working hard. |

Pls I'm saying this to everyone reading, if you have that kind of money kindly move to Canada instead. I'm in Canada at the moment and I'm wondering why people run to the UK. If you come here as a student you won't go back cos you'll most likely get a job. People get citizenship here in 3-5 years. Don't dash UK your money pls. UK made their Visa easy for a reason. I beg make una think well |

Icon2007:It's not deceit. If you fail to do your home work, then that's on you. No need to complain about the system not treating you right. I don't recall or read anywhere the UK government guaranteed you jobs or permanent stay after your studies. As for Phrankleen, that guy keeps discouraging people from traveling out, yet he stays abroad and keeps enjoying. When he moves to Nigeria, I would start taking him serious. But to be fair on the guy, he hates ilegal immigration which I support him on that as well. |

jimetagambo:Funny enough, as I read the comments of the guy you quoted, it reminds me of our days in the Uk too, between 2010 and 2012, and how we left to look for other opportunities in another country, i was just telling this to my wife. I remembered few of our friends too left and went back to Nigeria because it was difficult to extend work visa in the Uk then, some had to stay back to continue schooling. The story is different today. My advice to those students, studying in the Uk, especially Msc, that doesn't want to go back to Nigeria is that they should use it as a stepping stones. Once you're done with your study and you are given the 2 years to work, just use the opportunity to go to another country for example you can apply for Canada express entry, at that time you have more opportunities and you may be lucky to get it within the time of your working visa. |

TWoods:I agree 100 percent. Even British nationals struggle to get jobs after graduation. I remember when I worked as a student briefly at McDonalds restaurant, there were British grads also working in those jobs. They had degrees in chemistry, Maths and other programs and still ended up working transition jobs at those places. Nigerians just have an entitlement mentality. |

Wow ![]() God bless you for this, did you study economy I think the reason Nigeria banks can’t borrow long term loans to Nigerians is because no jobs security in Nigeria. I know many Nigerians that have over 4 houses in UK, using the rent money to pay off the mortgages aribisala0: |

For those with experience, can you advise a pharmacist to migrate to UK to do OSPAP and work in UK or just stick with the Canada dream. It will be crazy to spend so much to go to the UK and not be able to secure work. Student visa to Canada on the other hand is not looking as good as the UK |

ednut1:Not only the UK, several countries do same, including the US and several European countries. They have their quotas to make from each visa they issue to Nigerians and other nations. But these countries are really hyped, that's why we have the very long queues at their embassies in Nigeria. I feel sorry sometimes for some students that are not from rich homes in Nigeria that are excited about their study visas in some countries overseas. When they're advised by folks on this platform. Some folks end up telling them to return to Nigeria and suffer with everyone forgetting that some of these people sold their houses, cars, quit their jobs and can't really return to anything until they get back on their feet wherever they find themselves in the world. |

sweetmelanin:Well, maybe for the most part. However as at today, their inflation level is higher than that of Nigeria and Boko Haram has been reported as making inroads there in recent times. I am not speaking in favour or against Ghana or even Nigeria, I am putting the cards on the table based on what the reports are presently. Their Police is brutal to Nigerians, perhaps because of our antecedents, the hotel i stayed at Osu advised me to keep my passport in the room when going out at night to have a drink at some walking distance, I wouldn't know why. Crime level still appears lower than Nigeria and I cannot speak to their schools, but high school videos show that their decency level is probably as amoral as ours in Nigeria. |

aribisala0:The UK government is not just Nigeria's government but own and control Nigeria as their farm/company through the alibaba proxies running the country aground. While, the UK gets their leeway and returns from the managers of their company/farm (our politicians), they Politicians are able to corner some returns for themselves too with the UK looking the other way that's how and why we are here today as a country. Why do you think every Nigerian looking to run for the Presidency first goes to 10 Downing street, and then have their High Commisioner here in Nigeria, interviewing and admonishing them on the terms of service? They go to 10 Downing street to submit their CVs and application letter... Know this and understand the dynamics. Kapish.. |

Unfortunately, I thought the way this OP is thinking now some 5 years ago. Truth is, it's all perspective. For me, I believe staying in Nigeria is a risk while traveling abroad (UK) is also a risk. Not doing anything at all is a bigger risk. The day I added a UK Masters to my point for Canada express entry/PNP and I saw the score was the day I knew I had wasted time. My opinion: Nigeria is not so bad, UK is also not so difficult. It all depends on the value you attach to your life and what you intend to do with it. My Advise: Japa if you can, the risk and investment is worth it. If you also have what it takes to survive and compete in Nigeria, why not, make the money and enjoy your life. |

Realteeyee123:I'm in Australia, and will be finishing in 3 months. Immigration is also tough here. Even in the regional areas where most ppl rush to. Nothing is guranteed. The issue here is that every year they change thier PR requirements to meet thier needs. So some students get stuck. Health related courses have a slight edge. I recently got my Canada visit visa , which may be my last resort as canada as it has programs to convert to PR. PSW pays well here, some ppl use thier 3yrs post study Visa to grind and set up themselves for.the rest of thier lives in thier home country. Regardless of how it is. Nothing beats a Great Nigeria. Until Nigeria works, it's hard to feel at home elsewhere. |

Alajiki:Brother, it's just the way we see these jobs in Nigeria. Its seen as a low level job. Here in Australia. It's a money spinner. Some care workers here out earn some bankers and engineers. My ghanian friend here is building an apartment complex in Ghana where he is going back to. A man has to do what he has to. |
