I THOUGHT THE PRESIDENT Buhari GOVERNMENT DID NOTHNG AND WAS NOT WORKING.

We are proud of the foreign returns we will get from this bridge.

Now that the Nation is struggling to finance foreign debt, we can turn to the Niger Bridge to bail us out. Smart investment. undecided

The PDP tenure was a waste

No reasonable thing was done between 1999 and 2014, the only area they try is the communication sector

This is commendable from the APC government, but maybe you should Google more what Nigeria was before 1999. Most dualised Road in the country was done by the PDP government

You must really be a baby when Obasanjo was president. So, I will forgive you when you write nonsense.

First, Obasanjo did a lot of Trunk A roads, Abuja national stadium, national mosque and Christian center, etc.

Obasanjo set up many of the agencies we know today, including EFCC, ICPC, NDDC, etc. When Malam Nuhu Ribadu imprisoned his boss, Tafa Balogun, the world gave Obasanjo a standing ovation for his war on corruption.

He strengthened the banking sector, thereby making weak Nigerian Banks some of the strongest on the continent.

Obasanjo built many power stations, including Omotosho, Olorunsogo and Geregu power stations.

Obasanjo and NOI got Paris Club to cancel Nigeria's debt of $32 billion. When that man was leaving office, our foreign debt was infinitesimal.

When flour became expensive in 2005, the Obasanjo administration introduced a law that will compel bakers to add 10% cassava powder to bread to reduce the demand for flour. That man had lofty ideas.

We also know how his policy made us to enjoy the GSM we use today.

Obasanjo significantly increased our foreign reserves. I don't think you need a lecture on what this does to your FDI.

Obasanjo was a media-friendly president. He would come on radio and TV to take direct questions from Nigerians and answer them himself. This is something your Buhari has never done. I love Obasanjo's sense of humour.

Unlike useless Buhari that was touring the world and wasting tax-payers' money, Obasanjo was practically touring the world to ask foreign investors to come and invest in Nigeria that Nigeria had returned to democracy with a stable economy.

I can go on and on. The only challenge of Obasanjo was that there was no social media in his time. If not, we would have documented these achievements ourselves.

I can not praise economic senselessness. When the economy is crashing, you are sinking billions to build bridge.

It is like a father that has challenges, and is sinking the limited funds to design his house, instead of investing it to bring income to the family.
So unsophisticated to say the least.
Why was the bridge not built when the economy was blooming - if it ever bloomed?
Your analogy is faulty. Infrastructure aids economic growth in the long run.
Imagine the cut in the travel time when the bridge is done. Think of the economic boost it'd give the region.

You can no longer make any unfounded nonsensical claim. When you are confronted with the reality of the time.

DID YOU SAY FOR 8YEARS?

Did it ever occur to your very porous empty cranium that same project was abandoned but for the DUGGENESS with DETERMINATION of the government of President Buhari.

FIRSTLY, IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT DID NOTHING AND NOW IT IS THE TIME FRAME IT TOOK TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.

You must be the effect of DEAD BRAIN CELLS.

YOU BIAFRAUDULENT FOOLS ARE JUST DAMN IMPOSSIBLE.

my brother, I am better than you in all ramifications. This i can "beat my chest to". I also know you are not financially better off than I am.. As long as your monthly take home is not up to 10m before tax, you are shit to me.. grin

11.6km and 13km which is longer? grin

That isn't the entire project you know?

i said the road is 13km..bridge is less than 400m ..the 2nd niger bridge alone is 1.6km(6 lane)..the single pillars on the bridge is wider than the entire bridge on the trans kalabari road.. you cant compare the depth of the niger river to the one across the trans kalabari road
there is no argument here please simply say you despise the project it was done by PMB

What will APC campaign with in the South east?

Nothing.

They should just apologise to the south east and kneel down and beg.

Apart from insecurity and destabization, the south east got nothing because of the 5% policy.

Thank you Obasanjo for building the Onitsha - Owerri dual carriage road without any long stories. Buhari has been on the only project he's doing in the south east for 7 years and still never completed it.

Even when PDP their party did not provide any infrastructure for southeast?

A good government can always fix those in 4 years. The thing with infrastructure is that it takes decades of successive bad governments to destroy good infrastructure. The 1st 2 things you mentioned above can be fixed in 1 term but how long did the good economy under Jonathan take to disappear? We enjoyed 4-5 years of robust economy under Jonathan but if you look around there is nothing Jonathan left that you will enjoy in 10, 20, 30 years!!!

Infrastructure is generational legacy, economy, security are short term issues, here today gone tommorow. Education is a long term legacy, and corruption as in Nigeria is also a long term issue.

The old bridge has been there for the last 50 and this one will be there for another 50 meaning your children will drive on it. The rail that Buhari has built, Labour or PDP or APC cannot take away!!!

Atiku was Vice President for 8 years he did t fix the road to his village. Buhari constructed that road and Atiku’s great grand children will enjoy that road but they will always be teased that it wasn’t their patriarch that built the road……that is legacy!!!! You cannot take infrastructure away!!! We in the SW for all his short comings know who gave us Lagos Ibadan expressway and rail…..we are not ingrates and we will always remmember, even those of us who will vote for other parties!!!!

I don't like him because of his nepotism and his foolish fulanisation agenda; but he has tried for infrastructures.

This is Agbara Badagry Expressway, Lagos state. Good job!

You people keep talking this fake mediocre points looters have filled your heads with.

Investment is what will bring returns brings economic growth.

No family can grow economically without investing in a business that will bring returns.

If anyone wants economic growth, you invest in where you get returns before talking of bridges.

Now there is no revenue, is it not pathetic that the only solution is to tax individuals and businesses.

That means, the so called infrastructure can not bring economic boost.

Invest in the people and businesses to get economic boost.

Think basic economics.

Any union or body that goes on strike should not be paid for simply going on strike. It makes no sense whatsoever. They can only be paid what they were owed before the strike.
