What I did was unlock bootloader and then flashed a fastboot rom of another region that still allows mi dialer and messages.

My oga @grandmufti has also given u some leads to follow,all procedures are on this thread, just read some pages back, @nongo123 was detailed on his experience.

I settled for Havoc OS, to answer your question, I have never been a fan of GBWhatsapp so NO. I'm not using it and I haven't even tried it.

I can't count the number of times I have flash to a new custom ROM only to go back to MIUI in 2 days max.

When you've been using a particular OS for years, I've been using MIUI since 2017 and i find it difficult to leave, especially due to my notes, I back up to miui cloud storage and using another ROM won't give me access to it since I like to note things down a lot .

Please I need the current price of note 11 Pro plus 5g abeg

Greetings fam, i never had issues flashing roms via twrp, O.fox, with RN5, 7, 9, but i noticed on RN11 android 11/12 flashing roms is like mission impossible always end up with failed to mount storage, invalid argument etc. i have watched several YouTube videos to fix but it ends up on bootloop to twrp recovery or stock recovery & d only way out is to wipe data or tru xiaomi flash tool by loosing all data internal storage. Is it bcoz dir is no official recovery for RN11 Genius43, Gptech, Olayinkajnr GrandMufti??

Use otg. If your recovery does not support decryption, you'll have to wipe>format data from twrp before you can flash.

Backup first.


Also ensure you are using the recommended recovery for the rom you intend to flash

To be very honest tho Miui isn't the greatest OS out there..it seems to be getting worse with every major android update lol, always adding unnecessary stuff & complicating things more in their bid to "advance" the OS. The new miui "sound effects", for instance, is another unnecessary crappy feature which conflicts with in-built equalizers of several music players, making sound output a bit muddy on BT speakers (at least in my own ears). Most audiophiles will notice this. And you can't even turn the feature off.
Xiaomi.eu however, try to optimize things, plus they trim off all the bloats..reason why I use as daily driver. Although they retained that ugly sound effects ,but they are still a far better alternative than AOSP, in my books.
That said, not sure any OS will ever beat Miui 10 Android 8 (Oreo). They got everything right in there

Agreed bro. Miui 13 is very fluid with some really nice features, but more work needs to be done especially on letting users chose precisely what they want. I mean.... stop forcing stuff down people's throats. How do you explain disabling gestures for all third-party launchers ? Compelling users to stick with Miui launcher if they want gestures? . Not cool. The issue of app activities getting killed off when minimized used to be the case sometimes on Miui 9,10 and even 11...It was fixed in the later versions tho...Never experienced it on 13.
That said, Aosp is a big no, personally. Everything from the UI design to the general interface..... just too bland and deflated . Having used the OS years back (not on Xiaomi device), I will pick Oppo's Color OS or even Samsung's One UI over Aosp...easily. But I understand why a lot of people prefer Aosp
