The war far away Ukraine/Russia has a far reaching devastating effect round the world codedly.

The new company I just joined 3 months ago is a French company and doesn’t really take or fancy Africans. 70/80% of their workers are Ukrainian/Russians.
Since the beginning of this war, the company has systematically dropped most Russians while the Ukrainians can not leave their country because border is closed and the men are to fight at the war front.
So it left a lot of companies in my sector short of many many workers.
They have mostly now faced we Africans and forced to like and recognize our certificate and experiences.
Is our God not a good God?
I have Oga that went to saudi in May and now earning around 8m per month.
That bros go paint the whole ibadan red when him come back. Ibadan babes don suffer plus married women sef.

It's not about winter cold. The benefits of. Russia oil and gas to Europe is the pricing. They buy cheaper than market price that makes their products competitive. With the current frenzy, the energy prices will be like like Nigeria, their income will not be able to pay their cost of living.

The coming months will be very dangerous.

For those who have been saying Europe cannot survive without Russian gas, the gas is presently not flowing from Russia, let us watch and see how Europe will die or crash because of the stop of Russian gas. No single nation has absolute monopoly of anything. Europe must have planned for this a long time ago even before the war in Ukraine.

No one is saying that Europe will die or something, but this winter is likely to be brutal. Keep in mind that the decision of Russia has spiked up gas prices in Europe way beyond $2500 pcm. That means utility prices go up in western Europe, along with prices of everything else leading to a nasty inflation. Already a number of European countries are experiencing double digit inflation, and Germany, Europe's economic power house, is about to enter a recession (that's if they haven't). Too add to their problems, the high gas costs means that production costs for goods and services in Europe are equally up, making them far less competitive compared to what comes out of China and India.

Putin truly played his cards right and the winners are not just Russia, but equally China and India. Hell, China is now an energy exporter! It buys cheap Russian energy and resells it to Europe at a higher markup!

I think it might be time to start separating Asia from Africa when it comes to economic development. Asia countries be as it may be are making progress with their development. For Africa the simple answer is bad government. These are based on each country's internal political structures. The people in Africa are getting exactly the government they voted for without any external interference. Take Nigeria as a test case, the country has been doing the same thing since 1960 with diminishing returns but it still hasn't occurred to them to change course. Are you gonna blame that on the West?
