Hnnm.. what do i know. in all honesty, i am really really confused.. i graduated in engineering which was said to be markatable. civil, yes it was but ordinary bricklayer is been called an engineer, mansons, architects, surveyours, mechanics and carpenters because government no regulate anything.
they said no white colar job, agree, lear a skill, i learnt graphics design and posters, i learn how to trouble shoot electrical cables and connections, i am a story writer. my books are on amazon one year plus no sell. the only job i got as a designer was last month and it was free though i was able to get 3k. i designed a logo 3days ago but she complaine shes broke so i say she should do offerings with it. now they say sell yourself, i am wondering what else is left, the last interview i had was in a bank as a cashier where she asked me what skills i have and i mentioned that i can fix little electrical faults. she laughed like i was stupid and i wonder if thats wrong.
when they say sell yourself, i just hope i wont have to put for sale on my head. because many may not be able to afford an ugly boy like me

We thank God for life sha but if wishes were horses, beggers will ride. It's been 4 years now of Job search. I ve volunteered in community jobs with 1k, 2k allowances, I ve taught in 2 secondary schools and non has a pay of 30k. I had to resign because of work load (I had to teach 2/3 classes and each wit A and B) and during holidays, no pay.
Currently I am back to Agriculture, managing life. I grow season crops during the raining season and after raining season I try to use the little capital realised to invest in either poultry birds or aquaculture. I keep applying for Jobs and social programs, Imagine Npower didn't even shortlist me. But I know my story will soon change by His grace.

It's not been easy. I passed out of service two months ago. I interviewed at a manufacturing company. I was later invited for medicals. I am patiently waiting for an offer letter in faith. I am still a little bothered though because it's been over a month since after medicals, but none of us who were called for medicals have been reached out to yet. I hope this works.

I studied Chemical Engineering, and I can code (though not yet advanced). Any link will be very much appreciated.

The company had to shutdown cos of economic woes and inflation.

It has been hell.

This morning,my phone screen broke and I've gone back to using my second button phone.

I just wish I was never born.
Things will be better soon bro.

I they read your comment and I must confess you have the touch of a Professional Writer....
Find some popular authors or writers in Nigeria to guild you...

You will do well in that field if you put more effort...trust me

Your kids have already been born. You cant unborn them. No one knew Nigeria will get to this level as of even 2014. My own is those who see how Nigeria is and are giving birth and having kids even on low income and no secured job. Its satanic and evil.

I understand you bro. This is not only a Nigeria thing. It is a menace spreading world wide at an alarming rate.
Joblessness, unemployment, depression, hopelessness etc are sky rocketing.

I don't really fault those who yearn for kids, maybe 1 kid per parent is what should be adopted. Atleast, no matter what, a man and his wife working should be able to feed a kid. Atleast

The world economy wasn't built to support 8 billion people and technology has really reduced the number of hands needed to do any job. You are a marine engineer. In the olden days see how many engineers were needed to man a vessel now due to technology we need at most 4 and currently research is going on to build completely unmanned vessels so the number will reduce from 4 to maybe 1. Technology is erasing a lot of jobs. The world isn't meant to be as populated as it is currently. Third world dwellers in Africa go feel am pass oyinbo. Birth rates in western countries have dropped astronomically but the average in Africa is still 5 per woman. Asia has a lot of population but mind you the bulk of the world's manufacturing is done in Asia and such large scale industrialisation will always provide jobs at scale nothing like such in Africa and Africans are birthing like fools.

I didn’t bother myself submitting applications for job after NYSC (Lagos) in November 2016. Travelled to Abuja December 2016 to relax myself. I got the connect to the construction company there. The only interview I attended was to have an insight how it works(Enugu February 2017). Worked in a construction company from March to May 2017 till I got my present work and left . All happened in 2017

NB: I turned down a job at Clinix hospital Gbagada same March 2017 as I didn’t want to stay in Lagos state.
Only Heaven knew how it worked out this way for me .
Congratulations boss
