I guess it is possible. We just had a case of someone that his MP told him eligibility passed but still got rejected. I pray it comes out good for you.

Good afternoon good people, I am new here. Congratulations to those who have successfully gone through this phase and I wish all the hopefuls success.
PLEASE ADVISE...

I am trying to choose a school and a course for my PhD but I am really confused right now...I had my MSc. in Agricultural Economics in a Nigerian university where I had a CGPA of 4.4/7.0, after which I have worked on some health and nutrition projects (about 2 years).
I am however concerned about the 70% minimum requirement for most Canadian schools, would you advise me to apply for Phd notwithstanding or to put in for another masters in another field (I had a CGPA of 5.6/7.0 in my 1st degree in Agricultural Economics)?
How would applying for another masters affect my chances of being approved?

Please help me... All advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks and God bless.

Hey guys,
I just want to let everyone know that you can use the Chipper Cash virtual USD card to pay for your application fees and other online dollar payments. It works very fine and is also seamless to use. The exchange rate isn't so steep too.

It gave me an error too. This is the correct link without the highlighted text https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools.html

This what it says:

If your application has been approved
If your application for a study permit has been approved and you change your DLI, you must submit a new study permit application with a new letter of acceptance. You must also pay all the fees for the new application.

Please share the IRCC web page you're referring to. I just want to confirm which rule is correct.

BeejayB:

I don’t know where that link came from and I tried checking. It gave me error
Per the information I know and have seen on IRCC website . I don’t have to apply for a new study permit once I’m inside canada and want to change schools. I just only have 150 days to begin the new school. And I’ve started already. All documents seems fine

I just applied for a co-op cz I realized I’ll need one for my new program. No issues

The bank to credit depending on your location will be shown to you either while booking or after booking, can't remember now. Just make a transfer to the IOM account and print your proof of successful transfer like 2 days to your appointment.

The documents you will need for your medicals are-
* Your physical passport not photocopies.
* Your medicals booking confirmation receipt - printed out.
* Your successful transfer receipt printed out.

Unlike biometrics where they attend to you according to your time slot, get to the hospital early cos it's usually First come first serve (they will share several numbers and follow them against the time slot you booked.

Good luck.
please can someone do medicals without being sent by visa officers, and how will the iom upload the results to them
Cos from this reply ☝️ I understood one can do medicals without being sent for it

Abeg gurus make una clear this confusion

It’s the same link. The upper part talks about changing DLI when you’re inside canada already. The lower part is what you’retalking about and that’s changing DLI outside canada

You are not victimizing me but you read all comments, saw where I apologized to the offended members and ended the feud… you read it and ignored because you wanted to still prolong the matter but went ahead to respond to the person that said otherwise… so what is your intention exactly? Even went ahead to ask “who is she” like that isn’t demeaning enough… if i was the one that made such comment about someone here, the whole of NL will wake up to tell how rude i am… But did i call you rude? No! I let it go… that is me. But can you let such go too? I doubt.

The eligibility reviews are in 2 parts done by 2 officers; the junior officer first works on it and upon being satisfied recommends it passed. If the review is recommended passed, it is then passed on to the senior visa officer who will now do the final review and may agree with the former, in which if he did, he will give a final pass and eventually send notice of ppr. If on the other hand, he disagreed with the recommendation earlier passed, he will fail the eligibility review and refuse the application. And that's the final. It's at the final review stage that ppr or refusal is sent by the snr visa officer. So what eligibility review the Mp has access to was the recommended passed and not the final review done by the snr visa officer. So it's either way: so may one just be favoured by His grace.

A friend of mine got visa but her admission dates has passed and school sent her letter when she pleaded for extension and they stated it that they can't extend her admission (university of Manitoba) should I advise her to apply for another admission with the same school and program but it will just be different entrance period.....anyone with solution to this will be appreciated

Please go and read his or her comment then my reply before replying to me.

By "who is she?" I was referring to the part where the person's comment said "change who she is".

I just sent you an email please respond
She has to re apply into the same school.
She can only change schools and program once she’s inside canada.
And I don’t think she can travel until December for winter 2023.
Abi.

It's quite confusing. It mentions outside Canada but doesn't explicitly mention inside Canada.

Please update us when you get your coop permit. That'll mean that there's no problem.

Good evening. I intend paying my fees but the rate is quite high in flywire is quite high(540). It's higher than that of Form A. I need advice on payment method. At this high rate I don't think I will be able to meet up. Please advice needed. Thanks in anticipation.

Reading your comment is really funny to me lol, yes I agree you apologized to me and every other person but before you did that you as well said some mean things by saying “I sounded stupid” and now someone asked “who are you” and you’re complaining
Omo if you can’t take some things here then don’t say them to people. Our complaints isn’t over just one thing you did mind you….. the best solution is to fix this newly found horrible attitude of yours.

I appreciate the contributions you’ve made on this platform (I’m not an ingrate) but what I won’t appreciate is the way you talk to people… and like you said earlier you’ve apologized and all is settled. I can’t wait for IRCC to send our PPR so this will all be over……. Na condition make crayfish bend grin
