Popular fuji maestro, Saheed Osupa has openly prostrated and apologised to Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde for his offensive music directed at the governor in times past.

Osupa seized the occasion of the final funeral of Late Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba (Dr) Abdul-Ganiy Adekunle Salau (Olooguebi Ajinese 1) held at Iseyin Grammar School on Saturday afternoon, to apologise to the governor.

Osupa apologised to the governor for his previous recordings in which he had called him foul names and betrayed him. The single he released in 2020, which he nicknamed the Governor “Demakin”—someone who doesn’t honour agreements—was the most notable.

Makinde said: “No problem,” and thereafter whispered into Osupa’s right ear.

Following that, Osupa music filled the air with statements such as “Makinde has performed wonderfully well,” “Atiku is the next president,” and “Oyo residents will vote massively for Makinde and I have endorsed him.”

Meanwhile, the various onlookers present at the event were thrilled by the development.

It's quite unfortunate that 2023 is not looking good as far as Oyo state gubernatorial seat is concerned because both APC & PDP candidate will not deliver good governance

If this is the best Mr Seyi Makinde can achieve as a governor for the past 3yrs & 4months then this is not what Oyo state need

We have lots of bad roads across Oyo state, some workers are receiving only 70% of their salaries while some were owed many months whereas this is just his first term so how will second term turn out to be?

People of Oyo state are not asking for too much, give them motorable roads, security

Oyo politicians and God fathers are not happy with Makinde because of the above. They expected Makinde to shower them with public funds, but instead the young man used the fund for public goods.
We will vote SM in 2023, He deserves it. This man is just a replica of PO. They're gentle like doves but inside they're tenacity is second to none.
