A friend of mine got her PPR even before her background check and eligibility was approved. Sometimes I’m confused how these guys works.
If your medical is approved then have faith.

I don’t understand them jare
no update at all on my portal they only request the Form 5257 and have tried sending it several times still not updated

Please everyone I have a question to ask and I'd really love if someone could reply me.
When I initially applied for my visa I submitted my loa with resumption date of September 6 (fall semester) but because my visa was delayed I had to defer to January.
I didn't notify ircc about this change.
But not that my visa has been approved will this be an issue for me?.
If it's going to be an issue, what do I do to prevent it?
Thank you very much, Please help a brother.

Since it's the same school and program, you don't have a problem. Just explain to the officer when you arrive Canada. Show proof (First LOA, Updated LOA and deferment approval letter).

THANKS SO SO MUCH I REALLY DO APPRECIATE
cooooooks:
Yes.

You have to combine all statements of financial accounts, proof of account balances, land/property ownership, letter of financial support, into one file.

The first page should be the letter of financial support, the rest after.

Merge with a website like this: https://www.sodapdf.com/pdf-merge/

This will not work cos at the POE, you will be asked why are you coming in December when your admission letter states September.

That's when your issues with Canadian immigration starts.

For those that took their classes online, it’s not an issue. They will just explain they did the semester online. But if there is no online then he will send the new LOA

Check very well, it may be that your medical was passed or eligibility has started. If they had started before you saw a message, maybe a ghost message.

It shall end in praise

It could be a ghost update. That’s how it comes without changes… I’ve had 4 in total

Can someone please explain. I checked my profile this morning and saw profile updated/new message. I then clicked on to check application status and I didn't see any update or message.

Check your eligibility… it everything is how it was before then it’s a ghost update… meaning your application is being worked on

Yea sure!
You can start so I’d know your angle.
I’m quite by the word “timeline”

So in short I applied on May 25th,
Biometrics 1st of June
eligibility started on the 13th of July
then I went ahead to upload an upfront medicals on the 3rd of August and finally got my medicals updated on the 8th of September

Children below 12 years can travel without being vaccinated as long as they are accompanied by parents who are fully vaccinated, you can Google for further details. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the prompt response...

My study permit application hasn’t been approved yet.

Then you dont have an issue.

When the admission letter drops and you havent been approved, you send immediately.

Congratulations man!

@bepostive11 Lol… he has weak ties to Nigeria but very strong ties to the USA. Bottom line is that he’s likely to leave Canada after his program. Or what do you think?

I’ve been thinking guys.. do these emails and webforms really help? I actually think sending millions of webforms might even deter the officials from even checking mails and webforms that are truly urgent.

I’m yet to find any correlation between sending multiple random webforms and updates on applications though, unless they request information directly or the applicant sends an update that’s relevant to the process such as an updated LoA after deferral or change of program/school etc.

Anyways, congrats to those who have gotten their PPRs and prayers to those of us waiting.

Congratulations again!

Your case is very interesting. You have weak ties to Nigeria, no landed properties, and your whole family is in the US yet you didn't have any problem. I wonder what IRCC is looking for. Is it just money? I wonder.

I don’t know about this form yet but let’s hope it goes through. From what I just read online, I’d the form is not filled properly, it won’t go through. Mind telling me what the form 5257 is about?

When I applied, I saw the option for diploma and advanced diploma.
I picked advanced diploma as it was supposed to run for 3 years unlike diploma which will only run for 2 years
Ojb555666:

You are going for advance diploma with a secondary school qualification? How possible is that?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Sylvester4040: 12:35pm On Sep 22, 2022
When I applied the only requirement was my NECO result and my secondary school transcript.
apeja2017:
Congratulations
Pls can you share more light on how you got admitted to advanced diploma in software engineering technology without any qualifications, experience, transcript or resume? As stated on the school site.

I will like you to advise me and any other person interested in this program how you got your admission in advanced diploma with just your o'level.

While I await your swift response.

Thank.
