Shaming people because they owe shouldn't be the best way to recover loan. There should be some mechanism in place to recover loans. The problem is, most of the are not even registered

I think the best way to punish a defaulter is to report their bvn not calling their contacts.
That way, they won't be able to get other loans, leave the country or receive money in their accounts without settling the outstanding loan.

When they want to borrow, they will be humble and carry small face like small kitten. But to pay back is a problem. It is one excuse or the other. How can you be owing and love to be reminded about your debt obligations, feign forgetfulness or even ghost the person? A good percentage of people hate to settle their debts.

These loan sharks are into illegal business in Nigeria, that's the bottom line.
He that comes for equity must come with clean hands.
They charge high interest rates for 7 days, this is not lending but a criminal enterprise.
It's the responsibility of Government to protect its citizens from those who are out to exploit them.

It's actually wicked to take a loan and not pay back. It brings bad luck even if no loan apps disgrace or shame you.
