Sweswe killed Igidaduro and he was also killed with sledgehammer. 2006 to 2010 was terrible in Oshodi with gang war.Godomu saved me and my friend when Opc way laid us from Apakun,he stopped them before Adeogun and they shot him.that angered Mc,mc asked us what happened and I narrated it to him.
By midnight Mc and his boys entered Afariogun road at midnight to attack Opc.there was gunshots till 3am,they burnt Opc base, killed and wounded many chain.Oshodi memories is not palatable even with that Jalisco is fun.
By 2010, Oshodi has calm down, it's far better than many areas in Lagos now, since MC has shift his trade to state level.

Tinubu lagacy!

No wonder Lagos was ranked the worst city to live in the world after war torn Damascus in Syria.

A vote for Tinubu means that Syria, Iraq and Libya combined will be better than Nigeria.

Vote Wisely!

Aljazzera News or Any foreign media should make a documentary about this story.

People need to see the wickedness, rot and killings going on in that part of Lagos.

A bit calm now, but you can clearly see it's nothing but uneasy calm. All the relics of those gory days are still very much present. Nowadays you could even see the likes of talo and Koko zaria playing and exercising alongside regular people. We no too dey fear them again

When Bomboy bought the land to build his private house in Ijegun, the area boys at ijegun did not have any idea who he was because he had kept a low profile. When the workers started clearing the place, those boys came as usual to extort him. He refused and instead called his boys from Oshodi to come to the place. They arrived in 5 molue buses full of boys.
That day, nobody in the whole of Ijegun slept at home.
The bala had to call him and after much begging, he was given the title of Alakosi of Ijegun.
That was where he lived with his only daughter and wife until he died.

This story brought back memories..... 36 kiniun had their base in brown street oshodi... Talo is a short man and always like to put on short... Oshodi is now better than before.
This article says a different thing from what I heard. I heard from another source that it was oluomo that killed talo's boss. But the article says it was talo himself who rebelled and killed his own boss.

Just like the Chicago mob of the 50s

Have you watched the movie, 'Gangs of Newyork' by Martin Scorsese, based on loosely held historical facts but nonetheless represented what early modern American society was.

Clan warfare for dominance turned into gangland. Like Newyork'which was the harbour and gateway for migrants from Europe so are all these gangs in Lagos today, all of them non indegenous Lagosians fighting for territory and power in ungoverned spaces.

In decades to come and in a few generations 'Lagosians' will look back and wonder with regret how these shameful things become part of their subculture.

Anyone who grew up in Oshodi, Mafoluku, Ogunoloko can attest to this story. Swe swe was killed and burnt alive on my street in Mafoluku then after he threatened to kill Mc's children and younger brother.

Rumour has it he killed Igidaduro.

Dark times
Swe Swe was very handsome and softly spoken when in good mood....
He was burnt close to mafogram

The thread is a supposed one for all Oshodites in any part of the world. The ugly incidents that happened way back in oshodi in early 2000 is peculiar to every community where young boys seeks to survive the odds of life. The junctions mentioned are the most notorious one out of the huge numbers that you find at almost every junction of oshodi streets then.
Oshodi has produced great personalities in the academics, government, corporate world, and many more that the area boys are few numbers that ruined the community.
Most of these street Lords are our classmates who dropped out of secondary school either to learn a trade then later deviated to other means of survival as young lads. The street gangs/urchins can't be attributed to be caused by an individual/government for there existence/atrocities. I recall when Fashola said, the solution to stop area boys is to stop the areas, and government was able to stop the existence of illegal busstops that breed the touts for a more centralised and legal parks. Above all, it's hatred, unforgiveness, mistrust, betrayal, bitterness and greed that brew conflicts amongst the gangs.

Bomboy did not die in a physical fight. So it would be hard to say exactly what.

He sustained a bottle cut to his leg during one of the fights. The wound escalated to the point he lost his life as a result.

The craving for easy money is at the root of the hooliganism.

Take a look at what the so called oluomo has done for himself within a short time. Even koko Zaria, his deputy, is now a multi millionaire (if not a billionaire) -- all thanks to state-sponsored thuggery.

These Lagos politicians, especially tunubu and his foot soldiers, should be very ashamed of themselves.

One day the people will stand up and refuse to take any more of their sh!t.

I don't like the way teni was glorifying thuggery and hailing MC oluomo in her song.i was irritated because if she knew the history of oshodi and MC oluomo she will be disgusted by the likes of MC oluomo.lagos kids need to know their history, MC oluomo is not in anyway a model or worth being a model because of his past antecedents.hes just a street criminal in the early 90s who the APC led Administration empowered and decorated for their political interests.

Teni knows what she was doing. The average Yoruba man like his thugs. Their is parental failure in Yorubaland. It is a very big issue not yet acknowledged.

No better source of livelihood (no producion coy), virtually all the ladies there, are into prostitution... No job

You're correct about the rape and sexual harassment. Once it's 7 - 7:30pm, infact once it's getting dark, it's dangerous to move around as a female in those areas. Even hawkers ain't soared nowadays
even small Small adolescent girls who have pimples breasts aren't even conscious of their sexuality get raped, kidnapped ,bullied and killed.thise Mobile female traders are their major target for bullying.they can just take pure water or Chin Chin on the head of the little girl Hawking and feel they have no need to pay.thry might have the money to pay but there's this sense of entitlement they have so tinubu being president will bring untold violence, killing, raping and arson on another level with state backing

By the way the usual burning of balogun market during Christmas season or towards the end of the year in the middle of the night, who do you think is behind it? I like the way Igbo traders in Lagos island put them in their place and I Think it's the resentment that they cannot exploit and bully Igbo traders like they do with others are what I suspect motivates their arson.their motto is usually if I cannot have his stuff via bullying and violence,we will rather Destroy everything.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against tinubu but his use of touts and putting them in sensitive political positions is what I find disturbing
