I'll advise the mod to start ban on those pushing pictures of what they eat in their houses. What's the intent? To prove you eat special food or what? What you're posting might not even be edible to some people. I don't support this idea.

Is it a result of the poor state of life in the country? Or the poverty level? Showcasing food we eat in our houses isn't the proper thing. But if it's to show how it's done, fine.

Are you cooking for the whole neighborhood?

Most wives tend to cook in bulk and then freeze. It's what I do as well. That way preparing meals for the family is easier, especially if you work as well. It's also more cost effective.

It's 15 litres each for the soup. 3 months ke? Children that eat as if there's food processor in their tummy
It's majorly everyday eating and na me cook am

If you live in a modern city,
Have children with the daily school brouhaha of school runs,
You are working and your woman is working too,
And you expect her to make daily fresh soup,
That's being sooooo inconsiderate.

Am glad you are not stressing your partner with daily fresh soup wahala.

I live in a modern city but the stress is not Lagos level kind of stress, and I am a businessman.
Anyway, I wouldn't want to add to her stress (mothering), so I will have to get used to our soups being saved.
LoL, I am just being prophetic(positive minded) with the "not wanting to stress my woman" part because I am not yet married.

I know some ladies that know how to handle the situation.
Oga insists of eating only fresh soup.
The woman makes bulk Egusi soup without vegetables and pack in the freezer.
Anyday Oga wants Egusi, she warms up the Egusi and adds fresh vegetables.
Oga doesn't know the deal.
Same with Ogbono, cooks it in bulk, anyday Oga wants, she warms up the Ogbono, adds fresh Okro and vegetables.
And everyone is good

I grew up with that everyday soup..Though not really everyday per say.

Freezer meal, My wife will have a lot to do in that kitchen department as the HOD cheesy

The description you gave, is the best way to handle it.The vegetables makes it a fresh one.

This is for home use, we scoop in smaller portions per use and pack them inside the freezer.

Bring out any you want to use and defrost, warm and eat.
As long as there's steady power for the freezer, it doesn't go bad.

Does that means it can stay for up to a year without changing taste or going bad if there's steady power supply? How long? Learn to be specific with your answers.
