So, you can not be bothered to invest your time in developing your mind?

Sorry, but you are not trying at all!

First paragraph : I do care about my developing my mind

Last paragraph: if you say so. But I know for sure I am trying to improve my reading skills..

Well, it does not seem like you are willing to do what you are being paid for, so kindly let me know if I should terminate your employment.

Let's put the money aside although the payment seems like an incentive. Truth it is, it is all for my own good

And I appreciate
No worry I go put in more effort

Are you suggesting I terminate your pay because you'd put the effort in for free?

Do let me know so I can terminate your pay asap and commend you for your dedication.

Not saying you terminate. ... but something tells me if the pay wasn't involved you probably won't be giving me this Lil attention.(sorry if this sounds wrong) . And it is therapeutic. Having someone to relate with .. I am so tired of talking to myself

Last paragraph : noticed you have never commended me on anything before and this is not me trying to seek for any form of validation

Do you want commendations instead of payment, azraeljaheel?

Because, to be honest with you, you have not done anything to deserve commendation from me!

Reading your comments here.
I don't know how much your are giving azraeljaheel, anyway it's good you assisted with some task to make him earn a stipend from you. But from every indication any of your employee need to work his soul out for you to believe he is doing something.
A little encouragement can boost someone morale to do more.

Could you kindly state the task Azrael has been given so we can determine if he is being asked to work his soul out please. Then can we determine if he needs a boost or even a pay rise because his task is too much for his soul.

Thanks in advance.

We wish you luck in your future endeavours.

Buda, why are/were you searching for a Ferrari sales representative?

Buda, why are/were you searching for a Ferrari sales representative?

I was not searching for any ordinary Ferrari representative. I was specifically searching for a Ferrari salesperson who was willing to sell me a spanking brand new red Ferrari for the imaginary million pounds I believed I had in my bank account.

And the reason was that I wanted to own and drive a spanking brand new red Ferrari.

Did he ever ask you why like I just did? And why would you want a spanking new Ferrari? I imagine the country you reside in has many Ferrari dealerships capable of accepting the imaginary money... Why would you want one from Nigeria?

grin don't say it's out of the goodness of your heart.

No Sir, he never did. And that asking was the training one was paying for so he can perform future tasks.

kozmicity:
And why would you want a spanking new Ferrari?
To be honest, I don't really want a spanking brand new red Ferrari. What I want is to buy a spanking brand new red Ferrari with the imaginary million pounds in my bank account.

kozmicity:
I imagine the country you reside in has many Ferrari dealerships capable of accepting the imaginary money.
Seriously, I don't think so. Ferrari dealerships where I live all adopt ashewo philosophy of money for ground, and asked for evidence of my imaginary million pounds I want to buy one with before they sold me one.

kozmicity:
... Why would you want one from Nigeria?
I want one from anywhere that is willing to sell me one for my imaginary million pounds in my bank account, to be honest. But since all those with whom the conversation came up were in Nigeria and seemed gullible enough, well......

kozmicity:
grin don't say it's out of the goodness of your heart.
Trust me. There is no goodness whatsoever in the heart of buda, but if you were employed by buda your post would have earned you a payrise.

I don't think you said it was life sized or a Ferrari car... He could have drawn the logo on a tin soldier as long as it was painted red with the brand logo. And spanking new grin

On one hand I believe this, you're certainly eccentric if your posts are anything to go by. But on the other hand, you might be saying this to dispel the weight of expectations people get from meeting a kind hearted person. Which is which?

Indeed I never said, though it would need to fill the spanking brand new red Ferrari criteria before I pay you the imaginary million pounds in my bank account for it.

First. No one expects anything from buda. Or rather, no one with a brain would expect anything from buda. buda is not like Christ whom one might expect from.

Second, buda will advise you not to believe anything, but check every spirit with your own heart and soul and mind and being. You already check, of course, hence your asking questions.

Kind hearted person? I do not think there is anyone on this Nairaland who would possibly agree with you. And if you do find someone then you either paid that person to lie about buda or that person lies as a matter of course, because I can categorically state that buda does not have a heart.

And just so you are not given anything to believe, buda insists you decide for yourself which is which.

People don't like the truth. Or rather people don't like being told the truth because it brings to light a fear/worry they already knew about before but tried to ignore thinking it'll go away.

See! Not everyone is smart like you.
I daresay you're the smartest person I've come across going by your posts. A part of me knows you're not going to downplay this.

Of course. I do not like to make hasty and misinformed generalizations and decisions about a person that's why I have an opinion and I have to ask questions to better tweak the profile I've created of you in my head. You're an interesting person. Now, are you a Mr or Mrs?

Why offer to help the OP with a job/task then? Are you gonna say you were not helping him, but employed him and as such you're required to pay for his services?

I never offered to help the OP with job/task. I did hire the op to perform tasks which I paid for.

The op made the absurd claim that he thinks one can only measure his ability based on task given to him, while I would have thought one would measure his ability by his performance of tasks he had already done. That, after all, is what a CV is for, for you to state your accomplishments so an employer can see your skills and abilities and decide to hire you or not.

Regardless, I decided to pay the op in advance to give him tasks to do so he can show his ability and it can be measured. But read the response:

azraeljaheel:

Not saying you terminate. ... but something tells me if the pay wasn't involved you probably won't be giving me this Lil attention.(sorry if this sounds wrong) . And it is therapeutic. Having someone to relate with .. I am so tired of talking to myself

Last paragraph : noticed you have never commended me on anything before and this is not me trying to seek for any form of validation

Now, why should I pay a random person on Nairaland just to give them attention? Are you not attending to me here, kozmicity? Must you pay me for giving me your time and the content of your mind?

Now read the contribution of the village person doing him by lying he read what he never read.

raphemmanuel:
Reading your comments here.

A little encouragement can boost someone morale to do more.

I did ask the village person to list the tasks so we can see if I should task op less or pay op more, but even the op did not help him by listing the tasks he had been given. And I think you might agree that you whom I never paid has performed one of ops tasks much better than op bothered to, and shown abilities worth paying for while he has not bothered to show any abilities whatsoever.

kozmicity:
I'm sure he's learning, do you think you can pardon him and give him the tasks?
There is nothing to pardon him for, and indeed he will learn. What is happening here is him now receiving free education instead of me paying to teach and educate him.

Life can be sweet like that sometimes.

What then motivates you to do what you do? Neccessity?

You reference the bible a lot so it won't be out of place to, just many other christians aspire to be like Christ. Good morning from this side.

I am not a Christian. I reference the Bible a lot because that is the one book many have read and would likely understand references from. If I reference other books not many would know what I'm talking about.

Compassion motivates me to do what I do, but I do not have compassion for those who have no compassion for themselves.
