I don't know where she wanted to fund her Rwanda project from if she had stopped all the sources of funds for that. 2 Likes |

hustla: She didn't just up and put that plan forward. She might have been too enthusiastic and vocal about it, especially at a time where there's a general apathy for the government, but she's got backers both within the party and outside who share the same ideology. They're going to come back, just watch out. 1 Like |

Sorry to divert from the topic but why are salaries crazy low in the UK compared to other countries? I was doing some research on Youtube and found out that what people get paid at Microsoft (US/Canada and Australia) in entry level roles is basically same as what a Director/Manager makes in the UK I am checking Glassdoor now and £25K / £30K roles in UK = $120K in Australia (Tech). I think the same goes for those in healthcare as I have been researching mental health nursing / social work too Someone mentioned it to me on Twitter about a year ago and I dismissed his claims citing healthcare and GBP being more than the currency of most countries but having checked now, its weird Just cant seem to wrap my head around the reason |

hustla: Taxes are higher in North America and Australia including cost of living. Until in recent times the pounds is still higher in value than the other countries. Considering the economy of scale, folks still argue that the standard of living is still a bit higher than the other nations though many still debate this. From my own personal research sha there are still some advantages of working in the UK compared to others. 3 Likes |

Goke7: But then, in UK you still have to pay taxes without plenty salary. If the standard of living in other places is high, they have the salary to cushion the effects I'm on Reddit now and someone said entry level salaries for his role is the same as he was paid 9 years ago despite inflation and all. No be juju be that? 2 Likes |

hustla: There's recession now so things are more difficult including the other nations. Also remember in an economy like the us is pure capitalism so wages will be higher as it's a survival of the fittest thing but in an economy like that of the UK that tends to socialism or welfarism you can't expect salaries to be that hight. Two different economic systems 3 Likes |

hustla: I have come to realise that It’s due to a number of factors. 1. "Free" Healthcare (Cost of health care in the US is ridiculous) 2. Lower cost of living. Compared to the US, the UK is actually cheaper, especially with basic amenities, food/groceries. (However, inflation is affecting this). 3. UK’s economy is not as vast as that of the US. It’s also really just a small island. 4. The power of GBP compared to other currencies. (Event though this has dwindled over the years). 5 Likes |
