Thanks. I am aware of the charges.

I am asking if other stockbrokers (Chapel, Apt and Co) charges same too.
I believe the charge by Morgan is for use of online trading platform. I have used APT for a while and have not experienced such, but I don't use the online platform, I send my mandate to my account officer for execution.

a friend has some stocks purchased through cashcraft. he can't even remember all stocks and qty purchased.
please he needs advice on how he can access his stocks.
thank you

To know the stocks and qty he purchased through Cashcraft, he should just register on CSCS portal for access to his to check. This is very easy. As easy as just mailing contact@cscs.ng to make his request or check https://portal.cscs.ng for more details on how to registered. He should however ensure he still has the CSCS and CHN number Cashcraft issued him for this to work and some of his personal details used with Cashcraft. As an individual investors this will cost him about N3010 and he will have the access for 1 year. With this, he can login, view and print his statement at will within that one year. If he use same CHN he has from Cashcraft to open a new account he will also see that account there.

Another option is to mail contact@cscs.ng with his details requesting for the of his stocks details. They will tell you what to pay, how to pay and the details will be sent to you for just that one time you requested.

Then if his intend to trade those stocks, they have to first of all be moved to a working stock broker. For me, I will advice you contact MORGAN CAPITAL SECURITIES LTD to open a new account and move the shares there. This is because I have been their customer and enjoy their services. Also, they have helped me moved my shares from the same Cashcraft to Morgan Capital recently. Though it took time to move them because the staff handling it left the firm and didn't hand over the issue to his colleague as supposed to continue the process. It was however, resolved when I made further complaints to them and I can now see the shares in my Morgan Capital online access.

You won't even see it coming if there is 'manipulation'.

The resources required to really manipulate a market is not 2k shares but we can believe what we want.

There is no smoking gun in this case.

It is not a glitch but deliberate manipulation

Usually January or February.
For this year, I don't know though.....seems it's not yet been deducted.

To check is easy, simply check your portfolio account statement from January to date, if it's been deducted, it will reflect there.

For Fidelity, it is interesting to note that the insiders cannot make any trades until after 27th October.

So this question is, what has the market seen that is not yet obvious to the rest of us? grin

It could be that new investor is coming in......
Fidelity was planning to raise capital before now but guess this lull in the market has stalled the plan, so there's now but he possibility of them bringing in new investors......
It could also be that some institutional investors are buying stakes in the bank...... Future is looking bright. smiley

** This is unconfirmed reason though**

The Private placement was approved at the last meeting, so this will still go ahead as planned regardless of the state of the market.

The share price for the placements was not decided at the meeting but it is reasonable to expect it to be equal to or higher than the price on the floor. That is why some of us avoid private placements

FYI: For those interested

Nigeria's 2030 Eurobond is trading at $63/unit with a yield of 15.85%. That's a double of your money in USD if compounded for 5 years. That's a high hurdle rate for equities to beat.
