If you are not travelling for yourself, do it for your kids. Good upbringing, better educational system and citizenship are worth it and will definitely make an impact for them in a long run
Primusinterpares:
So lately I have seen friends, families, colleagues at work, church members relocating abroad.
These people are "doing well" here in Nigeria.
Many of them resign from their high paying jobs, sells their properties and put up to like 25 - 40 million naira to relocate a family of say 5.
Is it really worth it?
Can't we make a good living here in Nigeria especially people with a good job here?
I need clarifications from those that have gone to enlighten me.

Nigeria has better upbringing (there's respect for elders, no racismat such a young age etc), better education system (there are many private universities)....US Canadian citizenship doesn't hv many benefits trust me...visa free travel is just convenient....

You must be joking, better get your mind enlighten. Our politicians and other big men who have a lot of money still send their families abroad to live because they know better. The only thing I can believe what ever you are saying is if you show me your private history and I see for myself how many countries you don visit, then I might consider taking your opinion

Nigeria is better indeed. Do you know numerous plans canada and US have for sick or retired people who are citizens? Do you know what it means to be a citizen of Canada ? Lol joker.

Been gay it’s his right. Sexualism cut across boundaries. It might surprise you to know we have lots of gays and lesbians in Africa than those countries.

Nobody Dey worship Oyinbo, they have a better system, a working government, and opportunities, that is why Nigerians do well when they get to Oyinbo land than they do in Nigeria.

Being a citizen of canada means nothing. those plans they have for retired people is putting them in elderly homes....thats all... and thats only because people no longer hv families in Canada...

mention wat u can afford over there that someone earning 500k cannot afford here

What type of school do you think someone earning 500k can send his kids to?? Definitely not the likes I’d want my kids to attend. And what type of environment would that person live in Alagbole?? Or magboro? And what’s the security like in those areas? electricity? Now with that said, here in Canada, education is free!!!!! Meaning I do not have to overly worry about the standard of school (and all the cost associated with that) I send my kids. Also, security is relatively stable, there is 247 electricity which I would have to pay through my nose to have in naija. Still on the 500k?

The problem with the majority of Nigerians is them thinking it’s all about money. Kindly google what ‘standard of living’ means. With 1million naira, I can’t afford the standard of living I’m currently getting in Canada ! In nigeria I have to consider security, education, job security, savings becos safety nets aren’t existent.

If Nigeria as a country is doing well like Brazil, UAE and china people will not leave that much. Is ridiculous to say staying in Nigeria is better than moving abroad. With the way dollar is increasing? Think well o because even your president Dey UK as we speak.

How is that a miserable existence? I save more than half of my monthly income, I drive a brand new 2021 Toyota RAV4 hybrid SUV, I live in a four bedroom house with just my girlfriend, I eat what I like, I go on regular vacation, I send about 250k to Naija monthly to support my folks, I wear designers like Michael Kors, I use the latest IPhone, I have constant light and water supply, I have not encountered police in like 3yrs, and I can go on and on. Bro, this is the dream, and I am living it.

I can't do it too but we shouldn't blame those who did.

Not everyone can run a biz and this is a fact.

We all have our gifts - boxing, singing, football etc. And only a fragment can start something from scratch and make a fortune out of it.

With 20m, there are many things I can do with the money and make a fortune.
You can easily setup a 10m palm oil refinery that refines palm oil to vegetable oil and the market is hugeeeeeeee
You can set up a farm with irrigation and plant all year round etc

You will be shocked how quick the 20m will finish with all these things you are saying here!!

HiThis a banker dairy .Now washing dead bodies . You call it progress !Hi diary,
I have become lazy to type. Little update about what's happening

For the first time in my life, I touched a dead person. I don't even know how I feel but I think I was a bit scared.

I am currently on a night shift in a hospice, that's end of life people. Had checked up on this man around 1 and he was still breathing and 30 minutes later he was gone.

He needed to be washed, dressed and made presentable. He was warm and felt like he was still sleeping. Just that this time, it looked like a deep sleep. The nurse asked if I was alright doing it. I sha tried by best to hide any of my feelings. Omoh! Things I have seen and experienced in this UK journey.

I just wish I can stop this care assistant job permanently but it seems I will still be stuck
