Question 1:

How do you cope with movement?

E.G Presently, you're in Akwa-Ibom for a project.

Client A has a project he/she wants you to supervise and execute until the finish stage in Lagos and at the same time, client B has a project he/she wants you to supervise and execute until the finish stage in Abuja.

How do you shuttle the different locations?

Question 2:

How do you calculate the duration of a building to be completed?

E.G, Engineer A has a 3 bedroom bungalow to be completed for 30 days. Engineer B also has the same 3 bedroom bungalow to be completed for 60 days.

Do you give durations according to your schedules or according to how the building will be constructed or according to how the capital is available?

Question 3:

As a professional architect that you are, do you give customize/specific adjustment/design on buildings?

E.G, Client A wants a basement/underground facility in his/her building but doesn't want it shown on the building plan? Or, client B ask for a 5 bedroom duplex and during construction, he/she wants it changed to a 3 bedroom duplex with a penthouse

Answer to question 1

Shuffling between locations is not an issue per say... I have project supervisor's who work with me. They're placed on site's to take up construction supervising projects, then i visit often to inspect the work progress.... Currently, i have an ongoing construction project in Uromi Edo state and also in ekpoma Edo state of which i took to roofing level before leaving my project supervisor's there to monitor and make sure things are handled accordingly...

Like i stated earlier, I visit often to inspect the jobs and when not around, they report to me dialy as per the work progress....

Answer To Question 2

Calculating the time duration for a project has been based on experience over time... I'm able to ascertain when a project is to be completed because of previous projects embarked upon... For instance, if am to engage in the construction of a 4-bedroom residential accommodation, there will be a memorandum of understanding between myself and the client afterwhich we establish a time frame for the project... If he's to supply materials, he should do so when needed and on-time so as to not cause delay in the construction process... Although most times we understand that there can be some sort of delays in delivering materials to site, but we always know how to meet up with the stipulated time...

Answer To Question 3

Yes, we make specific adjustments/changes to building designs as its the right of clients to decide what they need.. We understand that what Mr A likes will not be what Mr B likes therefore, it's only proper we make adjustments in the design to suit whoever we're working for at that point in time...

The cost of the gate is 440,000...

While that of the fence railings is 190,000...

Good morning my people.... We've already started work on site this morning as tiling work continues...

We've kick started with filling of the compound as we have tippers bringing in load of laterite to site today.....

Also, we employed labourers to help convey the laterite with wheelbarrow's to every designated area on the site and also help in spreading it until we attain the desired filling level of the compound..
