Why do you people think Lagos just come to light when Tinubu became Governor? Google is there to show you Lagos was way developed than any other state in Nigeria because it was once the capital of Nigeria, even before Tinubu became Governor, he met alot of state and federal structures already in place...

Without taking sides, I can attest to the fact that Lagos state have a record of putting out fire in different areas of Lagos State. At least, I know of a family friend that benefitted from their services. Recently, they put out fire on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; oko-baba, Ladipo and some other places. A search on google would provide you with other recent episodes that required the intervention of the Lagos State fire-fighters.

I guess you know one and we read of incidences of fire outbreak that nothing was done. Part of the challenges with the fire services is non access to water because Lagos State Government successfully destroyed our water pipe system.

I referred to one that was personal to me because of my closeness to the people directly involved. That said, I equally mentioned that I have read about the interventions of the Lagos State Fire Service in other instances some of which I mentioned in passing.

I do concede that State Governments need to do more but when it comes to firefighting, it would appear as if Lagos State shoulders above the rest of the states. I have heard about instances where Lagos State firefighters had to intervene in fire incidences in Ogun State.

He did this many times and those from Anambra state will attest to this. He also organized trainings for them. May the proponents of vile political campaigns NEVER succeed in fooling us into voting in the same characters that will add to our burden in this country.

President Peter Obi did a great service to Anambra state. Even with all the money Bola got, he couldn't even provide anything to make Lagos stand out. His lasting legacies are Agbero, garbage, bad roads, etc. Even a world-class hospital, he could not provide. No wonder Tanimbu always runs abroad to change his diapers. Tueh!

I personally know this fire truck. When this truck was bought, there was a fire incident 3 blocks away from the Marina fire service station. The driver drove to the fire scene, which then was BOI building, but he couldn't operate the truck. On enquiry, the truck driver said that only senior officials were sent abroad for training, while the truck operators were to be trained by those who were trained abroad. Unfortunately, the drivers were never trained and a single fire which the government claimed spent more than 1 million dollars, could not be put to use. A fire truck from nearby Shell building was mobilized. That day I wept for this country. We don't need to purchase the best at inflated prices. We can make due with simple but effective machines

So capital city buys trucks for itself or someone bought it? If you want to do something do a tangible thing. Stop celebrating mediocrity. If he had bought good trucks they would not need to fetch water from the trucks. We want the best then we should strike for it.

Not that Lagos is at the level it should be but the sate is so moving. Had it been that there are well tuning states, Lagos would have borrowed leaves from them. But right now Lagos state is the model. That’s why the development in Lagos is even slow compared to what it should be.

We need effective leadership in Nigeria. A leader who can think out of the box not one who listens to trivialities of who mentioned his name in a town hall meeting. And making nuisance of himself.

Tinubu will surprise everyone in terms of good governance. Because he is focused. Not a rabble rouser and doesn’t care who abuse him or not. Those are the traits of good leadership. Focus is what differentiates a great leader from others. Once you remove the focus, the leader becomes ordinary and just walking.
