Hello

Is it true that a marriage certificate has to be three months old before it can be used for visa application?
I am in the UK but would like to come back and marry my girlfriend.

Good night great people, I am not new to naira land but this will be my first post ever. I do follow up the site anytime I want to get more knowledge.
Please I need some enlightenment about the following.
1. I applied for the ukvi student VISA and it is an assisted service. My biometrics is 15th Tuesday. Someone told me today that there shall be public holiday on 15th Tuesday 2022. Is that true?
2. As an assisted service, are we going to carry our original documents along to TLS for scanning and will it be done at the applicant 's presence?
3. Is there a limit to the number of documents to be scanned or someone can carry as much as he has as per much supporting documents?
4. As this is Nigeria, do I need to tip the TLS staff for entry, even though it has been stated on the printed copy of the application/appointment?
5. The POF used in obtaining my CAS, should I still submit that or print a new one that is up to date for TLS and can a pdf format be accepted or must it be printed or hard copy?
I will appreciate a quick response from you, great people.

1. What public holiday? Use Google. grin

2. In assisted service, your documents will be scanned in your presence.

3. No limit.

4. No Tips. You'll enter the building once it's your slated appointment time.

5. Use the same Bank statement as far as it's not older than 31 days from the day of printing.
If you're using assisted service, print all your documents in paper copy and take to the TLS. If you're uploading yourself, ensure all documents are in pdf.

Please, for those who've used Form A before, when and how did you get your Telex?

Good morning,

I used my mother's account as POF with a consent letter and birth certificate and I got my Visa.

Is it possible for me to use my mum's statement to process dependent's visa for my wife too? If yes, what are the documents I need to upload along with the statement?

There is more than enough funds in it to cover the balance of my school fees, my living expenses and hers.

We all have same surname.

Thank you,

Good morning, thanks for the swift response.
I am grateful.
Please, kindly assist me in answering these:
1. How long does it take an applicant to be attended to at TLS because I will be traveling back on the biometrics day?
2. Is the place so congested but organized like IOM?
3. I have a study gap of 17 years from my BSC and 7 years from my MSC. I have been working for a company since 2008 immediately I finished university till present. Can I use my employment letter, staff I'd card, promotion letter etc to show that I have been employed since to support my application? I also have 2 reference letters from my school.
4. If I print out the POF account statement, will I still go to the bank for signing it?
Thank you once again, waiting for you response.

Please, I need your advice on the question "Do You Have Any Family Member in the UK?"

My wife has a half-brother in the UK. But the problem is they are not in talking terms, you know how most polygamous family run. I even wanted to declare it but we don't have any information about him apart from his name. We don't know his address, whether he's citizen or PR, or any thing about his stay there. We dont even know if he is still in the UK or has relocated. He is someone I have never met or spoken to before. So, I'm confused how to answer the question please.

Then say NO. It doesn't affect anything as the hald brother is practically a stranger to you.

Visa Alert

Visa application - 3rd July
Biometric - 18th July
Paid Mail - 9th August
Replied to Paid Mail - 10th August (decision has been made)
Movement to VAC - 12th August
Collection Mail - 12th August
Visa Collection - 15th August

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS

NOTE - Telling my story isn’t a tool to jump at cause karma might be at your own doorstep doing same.

Sincerity has always been the best option. Though, I anticipated otherwise but thank God…I escaped.

I had three US and one Canada previous refusals before my successful application to study in the UK. You know what, I failed to disclose any of these during my PRE-CAS and VISA applications (a decision I still regretted regardless of the outcome) . Though, it’s congratulations to me but still do not try this.

Hopes were drowning before me after many negative feedbacks from agent and travel consultants thinking I knowingly invited karma to my doorstep. Was making sure I checked my BP at work almost everyday. Omo, that situation was killing mehn.

I can say from experience that your situation might be different from mine when the camera is directly pointed at you.

So, do not try this same process cause there is no point bewitching yourself with lies and deceits. It only increases your blood pressure.

Do not drown because of your self inflicted mistakes and start shouting Nigeria is a course. There is always advantage of hope and surprise when we do the right thing.

Once again…congratulations to me.
