I'm an HND holder in Computer Science and I'm 32years, I apply to Milwaukee School of Engineering for BSc Computer Engineering (Fall 2023).
I was given admission with 40% ($25,000) scholarship each year. The tuition is actually $61,446.
What are the chances that my Visa will be approved considering my age and the study gap of 8years, although I have 8years experience in the field?
Please advise and help.
Thanks.

Boyco please should I use bank rate or aboki rate to calculate it because I am working on 21m.

My first question was not attended to plsssss

You are using the official bank rate to calculate not the black market rate.

There's nothing wrong with your age, you are still young and the chances of visa approval is between God and the visa officer. Sometimes you can have a perfect case and still get a denial. So it's better to take a chance rather than no chance at all. Secondly, you already have a first degree so that should not raise an eyebrow, I also don't see anything wrong with your age, like I said, you are still young. As for the study gap of 8 years, most Visa Officers are more concerned with what you were doing in those 8 years rather than the gap. If you were getting experience in the field, that's actually a bonus instead of being home doing nothing. I would advise you to take your chances, it is better to have a YES or NO, rather than a WHAT IF. Best of luck.

Good day people, I happened to apply for the EA in Abuja for an F1 visa because my school resumes in spring but I got a denial on the EA request, is there any hope of the USA embassy in Abuja resuming full operation soon? would you advise I change embassy location to Lagos? as I have used my only emergency request already. please advice me...….

Hello,

You have a great profile and a great chance of getting your visa approved. If you're still considering submitting another application, I would advice you put in for masters instead of BSc. Do your research, there are lots of schools that accept HND for their master's programs.

All the best

Hello everyone

I am in the US with an F1 visa and my passport expires October 2023. I would want someone to explain this 6 months validity for passport renewal. My visa expires May 2023 next year and I am still considered to be in status as far as I don't leave the US beyond that date or else I need to renew my visa

And the 6 months validity of my passport ends after April next year. Can I renew visa beyond April next year or I need to renew my passport first before renewing the Visa ?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by techkay: 1:41am On Nov 15, 2022
Firstly, the 6 months validity counts only if you are not presently inside the US. You're already inside the US, there's no problem with that.

Secondly, as long as you're a student, you're in status then your visa can expire once you are not leaving the US. If you travel out of the US, you will need to renew your visa before entering again. The only thing that needs not to expire is your passport. You don't need to travel to Nigeria before you can renew your passport. Many of us here renewed our passports in Washington or New York, which ever one that is closer to you. When your passport is about a month to expire, go online to search for Nigerian passport renewal in the US, fill a form, pay the fee, pick either Nigerian embassy in Washington or New York, get a date and go for capturing in just a day. Your passport will be sent to the mail address you choose while filling your form

This is my first post. I have a naive question: How do the touts do it? How do they manage to secure appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja or the U.S. Consulate in Lagos? And an even more naive question, are the touts taking all the appointments on purpose just so that they can charge so much money for an appointment? Please explain this all to me as if I am stupid, because I truly do not understand.

I'm in a tough situation and need assistance choosing.
I've worked with my EMPLOYER for 2 years, and he's willing to act as my sponsor and offer an affidavit of support for me (as requested by the school where I got admission). He is willing to do the same as my UNCLE because of the relationship we have.

Which do you think I should choose—employer or uncle (given that I'll be selecting the same choice for my visa application/interview)?

Since it expires in October 2023, I will honestly advice you to start the process by early January 2023. I renewed mine in Washington DC when it was 7 months to expire. Yet, it was still delayed. I finally got my renewed passport around June 2022 after series of distressed mails to Nigeria embassy....

Firstly, why must you address them as "touts"?
Secondly, for calling yourself a stupid person because you need answers to your questions is infact, an attribute of a tout....
No long story, just go ahead and drop your questions, alot of kind hearted people will definitely reply your question.....

Good morning all,

My brother visa appointment is coming up second week of December, he just got another offer letter from Penn state University.

Is it possible to quickly change and submit another visa application form for Penn State University and use their I-20? His preferred school was Penn State University, but the admission process was long to process before he got offered last week Friday

He was previously offered admission in another school, and he used the school I-20 to fill the visa application form, but he haven't pay for SEVIS fee.
Can we fill up another visa application form and use Penn State University I-20? Please advise.
Thanks
