If I Have Money Today, Nothing will Keep Me In Lagos by TastyFriedPussy: 1:56pm On Nov 16, 2022
The only reason I'm still in this state is because I'm still staying with my parents. When I eventually start living on my own, I will never stay in Lagos. Even in the future as a marriage man, I will not live with my family in Lagos.

I'd rather go to a saner state like akwa-ibom. I just love that state so much and in my opinion, it is better than Lagos especially for peace of mind and I feel it provides a better atmosphere to build myself financially.

Why go to Akwa-ibom and cause nuisance? Why not crawl back to your potopoto republic

Lagos is not for the weak.only in Lagos a 30yo man will have grey hair all over his body like a man in his 70s.

I thought many of them said there is no place like Lagos.

80% of Lagosians live in an unhealthy conditions.

They pay for too many expensive things yet, quality of live is zero.

The day I left Lagos after 19 to 20 years of my life there was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I pray u have the strength to leave as soon as possible and see how things would turn around for your good.

Good luck to u as u take this bold step.

U go to their markets,u will see people buying ruptured and spoilt tomatoes and people would be buying (esha) spoilt onions and many more and u called that enjoyment.

Lagos is over rated when it comes to quality of life.

Hello bro.

I'm thinking of coming over to Lagos to hustle, are you angry because of the noise pollution and other factors?

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria, and the most populated. For example, there are LGAs in the north that are bigger than Lagos more than twice (eg Toro Local government area in Bauchi state). So Lagos is bound to be expensive, hectic, and dirty.

Also due to its seaport, airport, international border and the former capital of Nigeria, Lagos is on a different level. Moving out of Lagos will for sure increase your quality of life, reduce your stress, and make you spend less.

This reminds me of people who relocate from Nigeria to neighbouring African countries to seek/search for jobs without factoring in the high unemployment rate in those countries. Many people are living in Lagos largely because it is the major place where they can make money, not necessarily because they like it. The same applies everywhere across many countries. However, unlike in the US for instance, Nigeria's economy isn't well-diversified, the transport system is terrible and security is non-existent. If you intend to move to Akwa Ibom, please ensure you have a job or you plan starting a business. The state has a low cost of living but ensure you have a reliable and consistent source of income.

Boss 90% of those traveling out of naija to other west African countries are not going there because they want to make money. You will be shocked that many are just leaving so that they can live a better quality of life . Once you cross seme border or cross into Togo you will see tons of Nigerian doing menial jobs, driving okadas and earning less than Nigeria . But they are happy and contented because there is light, security and the little they earn is enough for them and their families.

Thanks for informing me about it, which is perfectly understandable. Hopefully, many of the "tHeRe iS pLeNtY oF mOnEy iN nIgErIa" advocates know the reason many aspire to flee Nigeria.

The painful thing is that lagosians pride in this suffer head. Anywhere they are gathered outside of Lagos, be it NYSC camp or trainings, they feel like the most street savvy humans.

They will complain about how slow other states are. They won’t let you hear the last of how they can’t wait to go back to Lagos.

Many Lagosians can’t even enjoy and experience Lagos - they don’t have the money. Only to be jumping danfo and forming street. Mtcheeeeew

The same state you're criticizing is where you hope to still make money?

Now back to the matter.

If you are earning big in other states, you should not be in Lagos.
