We all got responsibilities to return Nigeria to greatness. When you buy bottle water, make sure you destroy tha package. Don't give room for refill. You may be a victim. Just as I did. Drink and destroy

Even some of those who came from a very strict family do turn wayward, some join cult in school and do all sorts of nonsense. My mum will say it is only when you're in the womb you share the same life with your mother, immediately you're out,you have a different life. All this started when they sent you abroad, well I didn't read the full story but I believe you should have done your best to come back home to them where you will get the necessary attention from them. If at all you told them all this and they still insisted you stay back only then I'll believe they are bad parents. In the 80's the society wasn't as bad as it is now, especially in the Nigerian society, the society plays a huge role in shaping us than our parent. |

This has been the fate of many Nigerians. I have a friend who was sent to US as a child. She was kept locked in the house to care for children. She was never sent to any school. She was also abused by different hands. She is not stupid, but a lack of education and trauma can keep you bound. She is not handicap, but she really is not an independent thinker. She has been told what to do all her life and it has had an impact. Slavery is not just by chains, but by controlling the mind. Any parent who sends their child abroad without being there, should think twice. |

I usually don’t recommend sending any child to live abroad alone less than for masters degree if not what you sent is not what you get eventually Train your own kids yourself |

quentin06:There’s no need to argue with you. You’ll soon japa and you will become a believer. The people will never tell you what is going. You need to come here and you’ll understand. And when you do, you’ll also hide it from the next people coming. It’s a vicious cycle. |

Unfortunately, most parents are quity of all she highlighted. Parenting has been neglected to the backgrounds and due diligence has been given to accumulation of wealth. It is high time government beam light in that segment otherwise the next generation is doom. |

Familyplug:Mmmm... This story isn't surprising or new, i grew up inbetween Hackney, Leyton and walthamstow in the early 90s, the difference was that my parents were always there, they were not rich but they didn't work, work and work 247, unlike some African parents, African parents just work and work and when they are not at work ussually on sundays (that is after they have gone to an early morning cleaning job) they go to church to show off to their fellow workaholics naigerian parents how much they earn.. (After church they go for an evening cleaning job again) Alota of African kids ended up in cares and foster homes, molested, abused sexually but for naigerian parents or african parents work and money are more important than their kids.. I was in a gang, smoking weed and shopplifting when i was growing up but luckily for me my parents were around and very stricked too. Alota things went on, drug runnings, teenage pregancies, single baby mothers were rampant. Kids without fathers either unknown or known fathers. You can report all these things that happens to you now to the authorities they will be investigated and people prosecuted, just like the case of abused white children in care by pakista...ni men, these kinda stories are not new. |
