Migration didn't start in our generation. People have been doing it right from creation. As for me, I believe strongly that I will live life to its fullest in this country. Boaz became a billionaire where Elimelec japa from... it's all about mindset. |

All these is based on analysis of going for masters. How about the cost of relocation as a sort after professional with relocation package: visa, flight and accomodation paid for? VIP airport pickup and jobs with over 60k salary. There's a global talent visa and jobs for highly skilled professionals. Yet, people shortchange themselves to go through "student route". |

The West can use the sweat of Africans because Africans don't have a clue what's going on around them. Africans (Nigerians especially) are very arrogant in their ignorance, selfish in the extreme, naive to the competition going on among the races, very outwardly religious but inwardly bereft of morals/ethics. Think of it. Why is it so hard for Nigeria to generate simple electricity for its citizens & businesses? Why does it seem as if everything in Nigeria is rocket science? You can blame the west all you want, but it's about time the black man took responsibility for his situation in life! zed7: |

All for a worthless degree ? Wetin dey JewK with their high taxes and high cost of living? The worst is even Canada. You are just exporting yourself to be a tax slave. You will never grow beyond your assigned tax bracket. You will wage and slave for Jewish corporations and what little you are paid, will be divided by Jewish tax collectors, debt servicing and to buy Jewish goy slop aka food. Its the most dystopian slave wage existence one can imagine. Remain here and let's make this place work. |

annisy:Most educated northerners have good jobs as they are more favoured in recruitment into gov agencies so they have little interest in looking outside Nigeria . They uneducated ones are largely unenlightened about what goes on outside their communities which is why most southern candidates struggle to get their votes |

Pojomojo:How are japa people lazy and irrational pls? You want to sit back and influence a society where idiots like u are majority and majority carries the votes? Good luck on ur delusions man. Every intelligent person i know, myself inclusive, left Nigeria and there's no regrets. |

zed7:While your views maybe true in some school of thought, it is certainly not for other school of thoughts. I will share my own mind about this japa thing and it has its pros and cons. Starting with the cons, yes, it is costly however what's more costly is the bleak hope that hovers around this country that they can dash at any time T. Also is the uncertainty that comes with it but it's better trying than not trying at all. Ofcourse, japa comes with alot of challenges like every other choices in life but it all becomes a worthy investment if you get it right. I have seen alot of people make progress between the time they left and today compared to many who stayed back within that time frame. An example is a friend who happens to a doctor has been struggling to conclude his PHD because of the various anomaly peculiar to our society while his friend that started out together and had the opportunity to japa, has achieved far more between the span of three years that he traveled. That my doctor friend as I type this doesn't even know when he will be called to make his research presentation currently and he has been at it for years now, a problem not of his own making but the system. Out there, system works. Hardworking and brilliance is recognized and rewarded, not to mention the random act of kindness experienced there against the pull down syndrom mentalitywe have here. Here, na person know person technique we have been deploying and it's getting us know nowhere. Even now that opportunity is around to elect credible leaders, some mentally deranged evil doers are still supporting rogues and corrupt emperors who have nothing to say but balablue and who knows what's up their sleeves cos I won't ignore the fact that they can hijack the elections and make people's vote not count since they have done it before. I can't just seem to comprehend it. Whereas those rogues and corrupt emperor's children have this foreign access that we criticising today. As for me, it is all about creating options for myself. In a country like ours, if you can afford it, have a second citizenship. The option to move freely within my nationalities where one is just messing up. It doesn't imply I give up on them, no it's about putting on a life jacket so I don't drown with them when they making their stupid choices and decisions. |

All this people always preaching against Japan like it is their money they are using to Japa. The person that paid that amount just to Japa, do u want to say u know more than that person? My uncle wouldn't have made the amount he makes now in Canada if he was still in Nigeria. When he was in Nigeria he was staying in a rented house without a car and just bsce. But since he left, he has completed his house, about to buy a new land and start building again, bought 2 cars, has a master degree. He did all this while still paying the money he borrowed for Japa. Tell me how easy all this would have been if he was in Nigeria. Most of them know what they want, that is why they leave whatever they are doing here just to travel abroad. U think they just woke up one money and decided to travel abroad. People are made different, because u enjoy life in Nigeria doesn't mean others reason the same way. |

QuinModah:Prayers alone will not work ,those countries that develop it is not by prayer but by action . These people that japa if they pray from now till eternity nothing will happen ,you must act then prayer will sustain, bad leadership is our problem , take a look at Nigeria our leaders are interested only in the forthcoming election, they did not bother what happens to our educational system, refineries not functioning, insecurity here and there, empowering thugs etc. The cost of visa procurement is exaggerated. |
