QuinModah:Your estimate is actually VERY conservative, ma. At current rates/costs in the UK, that family will sleep on the streets. For a family of 5 - dad, mum, 3 kids (all under 10), you should budget AT LEAST N25m-N30m. |

Pojomojo:I see your point clearly and I am not pro-Japa by any means but the truth is that sometimes you need to understand what makes these JAPA people to Japa. Among the things that can make someone to Japa include this massive insecurity in the land, unending ASUU strike, clueless government policies, family wahala, unending epileptic power supply, poorly performing economy, bad or inexistence healthcare and so many other reasons why someone might want leave this country for good. Everything is not about money. Sometimes, peace of mind is the driving force behind all these Japa tendency. |

It’s funny when I see people who never contributed one penny to someone’s struggle or success but quick to analys how their money should be spent, where to live and travel to. Tell me what you have done with your money maybe I will have interest, don’t judge if I travel to uk canada or even Qatar with mine. When it comes to people finances and where they choose to live the rest of their lives, my brother it’s non of your concern. I spent 20M relocating my wife self and kids, to you 20M is much and without any benefit. To me 20M is much and the benefits are worthy… Sorry to say this, most people like you wanted the same opportunity if given !!! |

zed7:A well fed goat is still better than a hungry lion. I would rather be a goat in the overseas than a hungry lion here in Nigeria. People abroad are doing things while people in Nigeria are all complaining so you expect me to die here. |

QuinModah:The poem at the end made me feel sad, just like the way sound sultan music ...no matter where you go make u no forget area o. (hope I got the spelling right) So many families have been torn apart, lost forever. This japa will have a significant effect much later. New generations will be formed abroad. Most families will treat incest issues years to come, becos cousins will meet somewhere and start loving themselves without knowing they are related. The japa rate is very alarming. It's well. May God help us. |

Nigeria is not even a country to birth kids right now. If anyone has a means to leave legitimately without been a burden over there should go. Even smaller African countries are becoming better than Nigeria. |

[quote author=Triangles1 post=118814577]People always get this wrong, if you don't have certificate or hand work don't go abroad except you want to park snow or work in mortuary. Nigeria no too hard to make it if you believe, poverty is a state of mind.[/quote Sure bro.. Its a state of mind, a friend of mine a young lad probably 27years now. Just came into Lagos two years back, he put in the work, network among people and set up his small company that call people and wish them season greetings and all that. So, early this year he relocated to lekki, this guy is a big boy now with 3 plots of land in that Island area. He bought one and he was given two plots as ambassador for a real estate company. If u put in the work definitely the results will come out..;. Same guy that doesn't own a degree and just enter lag 2020 from anambra. |

damzy88:You are right, but don’t outrightly Condemned Nigerians. The Indians you see have many opportunities even back home to study on loans and their country is also built that getting advance tech certificates is made easy compare to Nigeria, where an average man barely eat 3 times a day. India may be poor but can’t me compared to Nigeria whose Citizens even travel to India to study. |

Simeonjoe1:That is the worst bolded there, because unreasonable people will choose a leader for you and the rest who tried to vote right, I have never voted in my life even though I had a PVC, I once thought the way you thought too, till Buhari became president and I knew that if I don't try to participate as a reasonable person, unreasonable people might choose leaders for me and others that are reasonable. And for your assumption that it has to do with my problems, since 2017 I have been earning in dollars and Euros, I have foreign bank accounts in UK, Europe, U.S, canada , australia(Not here to brag) I save my money in dollars and Euros, I work from home, I might not be where I want right now, but I have friends, families and I see people who are suffering and have died from bad leadership and you expect me not to be concerned just because it's not directly affecting me.... |

All these waste of money just to come to the UK? Whereas i am looking to relocate to Africa. Namibia, Swaziland or Cape Verde . Maybe even Ghana. I grew up in London, i have even moved from London to a remote part of England 5 years ago. London or England is not what it used to be when i was growing up in East London, everything has gone up in prices, food, cloths, transports, electric and gas bills, parking permit, i am paying high taxes, council taxes luckily for me i managed to buy my own home years back, gas bills has gone from £40 a week to £200 a week, i have just started using wood to heat my house, i am even using wood to cook outside outside in my garden. By all means anyone who wants to come and live here, you are most wellcomed but be aware that the UK is not heaven. Some of us Brits are even looking to become Irish or even German citizen. |

. Their people own many biz in US, UK, Canada and are willing to help their brothers free for work sponsorship. But the nigerians, MBA! You that just came they will charge you to teach you coding, bill your life if dey want to help you get work visa or sponsorship. And social media has really made lots of nigerians very stupid. The Indians here can barely speak English but they all passed IELTS with band score 8. Give Nigerian the pin code he will come to nairaland, twitter or LinkedIn to cast...
