What's the use of saying unpleasant things about my country when I only said nothing but the truth? grin grin grin

Anyway, I don't have any energy for arguments at the moment.. cheers.
you always have energy for banters, trolling recharges your battery. How are you spending this Saturday morning?
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 7:57am On Nov 26, 2022
Lol.. like I said before, I don't like arguments or trolling people, as long as my buttons are not pressed.

But I'm sure that even if someone starts an argument right now, I'd just read and move because I really don't have the energy right now.

I only have few errands to run, and after that, I'll be spending my day indoors writing my book because I hardly have time for it during the week and I'm really hoping to release it somewhere early next year.

Yours?

I have a lot of chores to do so that i can have some free block time tomorrow evening to visit my hometown, honestly I'm feeling too tired to get off the bed( it's 8.00am here) I'm physically exhausted.

Why wouldn't you be tired when you're a teacher, how do you handle those little demons in school? grin grin grin

hmm, it's a secondary school with about a thousand students in semi high rise buildings with no lifts, I don't understand modern kids, so unruly and uninterested in their studies ( some not all) some members of the staff are no better themselves. I love teaching but I'm losing interest in it over poor pay, lack of appreciation, working place politics etc. I'm honestly thinking of changing profession but the economy is not encouraging for that move right now.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 8:50am On Nov 26, 2022
When you say unruly and uninterested in their studies, it's like you're talking about me.. grin grin grin

I honestly don't know how I finished school on record time because I never took it seriously.. Even my own mother used to think that I wouldn't finish school because she's never seen me with books and studying hard.. grin grin cheesy

When you say poor pay, how much do teachers usually earn in your country?

hmm, I was a very studious student and still studies a lot in my private time, I hate unruliness with passion, a student fainted two days ago after been pushed by a classmate. Teachers shamefully are the least paid professionals especially in private and missionary owned schools, you can see the constant threads making the Nairaland front-page concerning teachers low pay and unfriendly working conditions, colleagues are leaving en masse leading to a somewhat teacher shortage in the country. Why don't you like studies especially as an introvert? Nothing keeps better company than a book be it on mathematics, economics, architecture etc. It's my favourite pass time.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 9:56am On Nov 26, 2022
I enjoy reading only if it's for personal pleasure and not because it's school related.. I do have a number of novels both in English and Sepedi.

For example, back in high school I didn't do history as a subject, but whenever my sister was home for the school holidays, you'd find me busy reading her history books instead of reading my own books... grin grin grin.. And in most cases I'd read and finish the entire book.

I think my introvert nature was the one that helped me finish school on record time.

I didn't do mathematics or economics back in high school.

What is the estimated salary of an average teacher in Nigeria, you don't have to tell me the exact salary.

hmm, mathematics is compulsory for all students at all levels in Nigerian secondary schools, economics almost the same. Telling you Nigerian salaries wouldn't make any sense to you because of the massive depreciation of our currency under the current President, in my state, government school teachers starts from #45,000 ( $63) per month while private and missionary schools starts at about half the amount #20,000-#25,000 ( #35) per month. It's actually lower than that if you convert with the dollar buying rate instead of the selling rate.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 10:41am On Nov 26, 2022
Well, mathematics was showing me flames, so I had to drop it.

You guys are really underpaid, #45000 here is like R1800 and #25000 is like R960.

minimum wage here is #30,000($42) per month and many if not most people earn less than that.

But don't give up on teaching, those kids need you.

We wouldn't be where we are right now if it wasn't because of the teachers.

Don't give, just find something to do on the side while you continue teaching.

Most teachers here also have their own businesses on the side.

lol, I currently don't have much option but I'm honestly tilting over to building construction and maybe software engineering in a few years time. Education is a big scam in Nigeria.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 11:56am On Nov 26, 2022
Education is a big scam everywhere.. They just make us read all these things that'll never benefit us in the future.

You'd go to school, finish on record time and get that degree, but when it's time to apply for a job, they'll tell you that you must have a 4 or 5 years of working experience, like where do you expect someone who's fresh from varsity to get that kind of experience?

Next thing you start doing some piece jobs like internships or learnerships to get that working experience, you apply again, only for them to tell you that you must own a car. Like where do you expect the person to get money to buy a car when he or she has never had a good paying job?

You finally manage to get a cheap second hand car, and they now tell you that you must be fluent in Afrikaans, as if we still live in the apartheid era.

hahaha, the truth is that the educational system prepares us poorly for the workplace because most of what we learnt in school isn't applicable to the workplace. Those who have skills valued by employers aren't made to pass through all those unnecessary stress to get a job, take a look at those in medical fields. I have taught myself building design and construction, I hope to gradually switch over to the profession, I also want to retire to a small horticulture farm in future. I'm still planning things out. When . I have kids, I would teach them to pursue skills rather than paper certificates.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 12:44pm On Nov 26, 2022
Yep, it's very important to teach your kids to pursue skills because what thing that I've learned is that education alone is not enough.

I know, that's why they go for cheap women, women who can easily be bought.

A decent hardworking, disciplined, and ambitious SA woman would never go for a Nigerian man, that's why you Nigerian guys would say SA women are easy because you only go for the cheap and easy ones and they also target men like you.

Already they know where you guys usually hang out, making you guys an easy target for them... Some SA men have even vowed to never date any SA woman that's ever dated a Nigerian man before because already they know the kind of women that date you guys here in SA, cheap gold diggers that can easily be bought.

And if you ask me, they get to gain more because not only do they get sexually satisfied, they take your money too.. grin grin grin

look at wat yr fellow SA man do to u guys
SA men are just useless I heard they rape u guys infact they give u guys pregnant and run away

Samantha123:
There are three types of women that most Nigerian men date in SA.

1. Prostitutes.
2. Gold diggers.
3. Poor and vulnerable women who are willing to do anything to get out of poverty.

And all the three categories of women have one thing in common, and that's their love for quick cash, nothing more, nothing less.

Why are you so desperate to try and prove that all SA ladies like you guys as if you don't have your own ladies in Nigeria? Aren't you tired of embarrassing yourself?

Unfortunately, I don't have the energy for you, so you'll decide yourself if they are any of the women I mentioned.

I'm not biased and I don't sugar coat, and I certainly know what I'm talking about.

I call a spade a spade.. I can't say a prostitute or a gold digger is a church going woman of God just because I'm a woman.

If they chose to live the kind of a lifestyle that they're living, it's fine, it's their choice and I respect that.

I'm just trying to advise you here as a South African woman so that you guys can be careful of the kind of SA women you guys usually fall prey to.

But if you choose to be in denial, egocentric, and think that I'm jealous, it's okay... Continue spending your money on those loose gold diggers and come bragging.

I'm trying to change the subject because I don't see a need to be arguing with you anymore, I've said what I needed to say and I'm done.

You're just bitter because I bruised your ego.

Being bitter is not good for your health, move on.

You Nigerian men need to change this mentality of using money to buy a woman's love, because most of them will use you, play you like a piano and then dump you guys afterwards like a hot potato.

Of course we all want money in our lives and order for life to be easier, but it doesn't have to be like that.

You are 100% correct, truth is that, Nigerian guys have ended up corrupting the mind set of an average Nigeria girl, that has made the girls resort to 1st access your financial capability before accepting to date us.

My fellow Nigerian men has exported the same character anywhere they find themselves.

Worst of it all is that, we have succeeded at colonizing Ghanians and their mind set has changed and they are imitating our live style.
Re: Someone Said Only Nigerian Men Can Tolerate Nigerian Women by Nobody: 9:28pm On Dec 03, 2022
You sound like a reasonable man, so tell me this.

Why is it that after corrupting Nigerian ladies with money, they then start complaining about them?

It's like they'd rather spend a lot of money on a foreign girl who doesn't even care about them rather than spend it on an average Nigerian girl willing to care for them.
Dshocker:

Truth is always bitter and Nigerian men has never sat down to ask themselves "how did we get here"...

History and research shows, or proofs that things weren't like this from year 2001 downwards.

Corruption by our politicians sent high level of poverty on her people and Nigerians had to survive either ways, whether by crook or by hook.

A lot of youths diverted their focus into illegal means of making money.

Any illegitimate money made is spent lavishly or carelessly by our men and the girls themselves had to survive, so they exchanged their bodies for money and made it transactional.

Now the abnormal has become the normal and we are complaining.

It will take a very long time for us to erase this mentality.
