Hi,

To do that you need to pay up your annual return fee for all the years that have been missed. The payment is done on CAC's portal. You can check my comment history, I have previously written more details on it.

Thanks for the info. Will check out your comments.

Good evening House, my brother just got a Passport request for Winter 2023 admission. He however was already planning to defer the admission to May, 2023 before the PPR dropped. Is it okay to defer the admission after submitting his passport to VFS and is there anything to be mindful of to avoid issues at the entry point when he later plan to travel? Thank you
during his application. Did he do upfront medical or he got a medical request? Meanwhile he's still very much in time,so no point in deferring.

For all that found emails and webform to get a reaction from IRCC, could you kindly approximate how many you sent and how many times a week you did? Also, did you send multiple webforms a day?
This also applies to anyone sending emails and webform awaiting for reply.

my brother the truth is am also in the same shoe I was asked to upload updated loa and updated proof of funds ie statement of account. My own the deadline is tomorrow. My student application is 4 months plus although and they also wrote work permit and my application doesn't include co-op. So me wat I did was to write a letter of explanation for the loa and give evidence of my balance tuition deposit with I have initiated form A and it's delayed by stanbic bank who says 8-10weeks and the 8 weeks will be on Tuesday. I even screen shot the mail I sent to the school about delay of tuition deposit from my Nigeria bank and also screen shot the trade system portal to show I have since initiated my payment as proof. And secondly you didn't mention update proof of funds. For me my application was submitted with 10.5m and as at wen the request came I have 2.8m in my account I have to run kiti cats for 4 days to raise 11.3m as updated proof of funds with evidence of receipts for money that came into my account. So tomorrow is the deadline and am going to print my statement of account first thing tomorrow and attached a letter of explanation for inflow and out flow of money in my account and explained it's for business purposes. And finally God prayers for supernatural intervention. And pls if any one has anything to add can pls do. So urgent action is required.God bless

Sometimes so things are better left of if at the initial stage the masters was not presented it could have been easier to justify going for a diploma after BSc but now this is more like a reverse my suggestion is if she is gainfully employed let her try and get a letter head from the establishment starting that they want her to go for a diploma in Hr because they want her to take a significant position in their hr department, then if she is a biz owner let a director in her biz write such quoting the impact it will have in turning around the Hr of such establishment because the money is very OK and the family not going with her is very good to tell the story of her coming back

Thanks so much

Thanks so much
johnstan:

So sorry for the outcome.
From what you stated it's obvious she had good POF and hometies, however, having good POF and hometies doesn't automatically qualify the applicant if you know what I mean.
The sop can make or break the application. I can see you stated that the applicant is an MSc holder in science while HR is a completely different field talk less of the fact that it's a PGD program.

Now here's my take for your next sop/loe, don't start and end at explaining why the course is relevant to her current position. First start with what she did that made HR an option to consider, is this an interesting role for her, has she handled any HR role prior to her current Job role but couldn't focus on that for any reason.
Now explain how she has managed in her current role without the HR qualification she's applying for, what challenges has she faced in her current role without the HR qualification that became the decision point, what are the potentials of having the qualification and lastly what she intends to achieve with the extra qualification.
I hope you understand, make the transition eye catching to read and difficult to think otherwise.

Repackage and refire

Good luck

Almost everyone here is on telegram. I noticed you posted this on various telegram groups. However, it’s left for you to use your last energy and knowledge to draft a solid reconsideration letter showing relationships between your current work and the marketing management u applied for , how your mass com gave birth to your zeal in advertising and promoting. Thus promoting is a core part of marketing that gave rise to ur decision and your aim is to be at the management level of marketing and promotion.... maybe your SOP couldn’t sell your decision for marketing management now let your reconsideration letter be so catchy. All the best

Hi Golor,

Can you please assist on how i can join these telegram groups.

Thank you

The funds barely cover the cost of her education. Self-sponsors must show funds for the entire duration of their studies. Assuming she is going for a two-year program, the cost of tuition fees alone for two years is 40K CAD. Living expenses should be well over CAD 20K for two years. Although IRCC uses $10K/year as the standard for annual living expenses, in reality, it is much more, and VOs like to see that you have done your research. So, depending on the city, the VO might have assessed quickly and concluded that the funds were insufficient. Another thing to consider is lump-sums; if there are lump sums in the accounts, could VO believe that she inflated the account?
IRCC does not usually accept a sponsorship letter from the spouse without showing the funds and the source. She should have organized the application in a better way. For instance, the spouse should have been the sponsor since he can sponsor. This way, she just has to show the cost of education for one year even if she is going for a program of two years.

You have identified the second reason.

A friend was denied for the following reasons:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). This just a single application no accompany.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

This is absurd given that her application was stronger than most applications I have seen that got positive response. She showed 49k CAD including 10k USD in a dorm account, 10k CAD deposit towards tuition, a 2 years study leave from Nigeria, farm land property under her name and three houses under her husband's name. 3 of her kids are in Nigeria and 1 abroad.

Please what else do they want. I have applied for GCMS but these days it takes up to 2 to 3 months to get it back. The plan is to apply in January she has deferred her admission. Application was August 6.

Now the only problem I see with her situation was that she is coming for a two years diploma program meanwhile she has done masters. But we were able to establish that this diploma program in Human Resources management is relevant to a current position in Nigeria, since her background was in science.

Please house what do you advise in such situation as this?

I arrived in Vancouver on August 11, and it’s been a wonderful journey since since. Started classes 6 September, almost done with first semester as my exam is this week. Courses that I have passed already because I have good grades in assignments and tests. I will say everything in this country is soft compared to home (I still miss home shaa). I wish everyone good luck in their process. If you are coming to Vancouver you can text me let’s link up. Finally COLD DE HERE O.

Oh I think you misunderstood me. the program is 2 years yes the tuition for the 2 years program is 20k CAD. She has paid 10k CAD. Showed 49k CAD. Her husband submitted his gratuity account $10 million with the sponsorship letter. We made sure no bulk deposits were made, she and are husband are very comfortable, they have money and tenants in 2 houses apart from a huge cattle ranch and farm land.

Please, kindly respond.

Should I complete imm5257b for my kids applying for study permits? I read on their site that the form should be completed by all applicants, however, on the top of the form it is stated that the principal applicant, his or her spouse and dependents above 18 should complete the form.

It's quite confusing. Pls someone should respond. If, yes, should I then indicate each of them as principal applicant as they are below 18 years old.
