You too respond to what I said. All you easterners will be acting as if there are no agberos or touts in your state, they are everywhere. It is a problem all over Nigeria caused by politicians that uses them. Agree it is more pronounced in some states more than others. Lagos, Anambra, Abia, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo are the worst places you can think of.

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Soludo lambasts a road contractor for delayed job. Terminates contract on the spot for lack of competence to deliver the road project on November 30th as agreed.

Reasons for contract delay varies. You cant compare two contracts. Sometimes, Government don't release funds, or sometimes they don't release funds on time.

A friend got a contract with one FG agency in 2020, and only 20% of the contract sum have been released till date and guess what the job has been abandoned even though he used his money to get the project up to 50% hoping he will be paid, although i advised him against it that time.

I can bet you, it is possible the funds have not been released, and the Governor who knows the contractor has abandoned it will come to site to make the news and people will jubilate, since in this part of the world fighting government is like signing death warrant, contractors cant take matter up in court.

If the Government have paid, cancelling the contract is not the way to go but moving to arrest the contractor and putting them behind bars because its criminal.

In Nigeria, Politicians can never fool me.

Use of local engineers does not help us in anyway, I have seen several points they patched and constructed . The Governor ll endup spending money without having the value he paid for. Las Las, the governor ll be accused of constructing substandard roads.

He is moving to discard them by termination of their Contracts!
Kudos to Soludo,for timely intervention-for these local Contractors have abandoned many Projects scattered all over Nigeria, with cornivance of the States Commissioners, Ministers and their footsoldiers, to the chagrin of voiceless Nigerians!
