This is a wicked thing to do. People are already suffering enough in the country, making her lose her job is an evil thing to do
She is the wicked one
She is the evil one . If she loses her job she is responsible
ADULTS take responsibility for their actions and do not blame others.
I very much doubt that you have every paid salaries in your life or ever run a business.
Where does her employer get money to pay her salary from
If you own a business and this was happening would you be happy if it was hidden from you? You say this because you do not know what it means to be an employer or businessman

Many of you lack exposure and wisdom.

Why can't she express her grievances to the woman right on the spot? Challenge her and remind her that it's wrong to keep customers waiting while she attends to something insignificant.

Why the picture?

I still don't get. Open your mouth and speak up right on the spot.

Why would she leave her customers unattended to and start pricing clothes at work? Does that sound responsible to you?

Hmm,someone that the HR has been looking for every available opportunity to kick out of the system, now the customer has supplied the needed excuse to show her the door !

Truth be told, the banker did not comport herself diligently and that puts a big question mark on her professionalism. What happened there is a failure of so many things, most especially Internal Control mechanism of the bank;put in place to check such behaviors. The woman is very likely to lose her job, especially if she is not a first time offender. I know for sure that the woman must be having some hellish time now. I pray it won't be a black Christmas for her ! If the bank decides to carry out an elaborate investigation into this matter,a lot of other staff members will face one form of sanction or another. The likes of the Branch Service Manager, the security Guards, etc will have some explanations to provide too if summoned to appear before the bank's staff disciplinary committee. A can of worms has been opened already in that branch of FCMB by the customer that reported and posted the incident on social media !

In everything we do,discipline is very important.

I had an experience in one Guarantee whatever bank in the 2001 visiting 9ja.

A transaction made nearly a month earlier from diaspora to a relative's 9ja account didn't show. Every time he went to check, same story.
So we went to the bank one Monday morning and the queue was already long.

When it finally got our turn, the guy to attend to us just turned away from us to face a female colleague, who entered behind from an inner door, exchanging banters and discussing about last weekend. Endlessly. Not minding customers at all.

I was totally furious. I yab the guy o. I yabbed him even more when he said he was a manager of sorts.

I told him that with his example as a manager for others to emulate, I feel sorry for his customers, bosses and shareholders.

I was already unhappy with the delayed transaction anyway. Many of them are very incompetent and rude. The good ones are also really very good.

This medium doesn't seem appropriate. You should have spoken to the manager. Or Assert your rights, vocally, so that the attention at the bank is drawn to your issue. Complain loudly, and other customers would have been supportive of you.

With this call out, you must have taken away her job. Perhaps, she may deserve it

Though, many people do their job as if they're helping you

By posting it online like this, exposing it to the public, it will serve as a warning to other bank staff, that they can't always get away with unprofessional actions.

I kuku know myself, I will talk and leave in anger, they will have to call me back! I had an incident with a customer service at the same bank and she was misbehaving, I left in anger. As I was about to leave the banking hall, one of the security men saw I was angry and had to promptly assign me to another staff at the same department. Reason I hate having anything to do with being in the bank.

At the same bank at one of the branches, a security man was showing favouritism during the height of COVID then, I promptly reported him to their Facebook page and I never saw him at the branch again.

If we don't report this misbehaviours, the country will get more rotten than it is! Even though, I notice ladies seem to despise men that are outspoken when people misbehave but that is none of my business!
bros I support you jare.make she go eat that cloth for Christmas and resume 2023 without a job

Public service is the worst.you go see people dey come work at after one pm and sit-down to watch African magic or eat groundnut while making you sit for several hours before attending to you.whe. They even attending to you they'll be giving you attitude as if they're doing you a favour.we are a reflection of the impunity in aso rock

Those people who pay salaries every month end will have a different take from some of the idiots typing here.
If this was not a bank but a small business and you are the one paying this woman's salary what would you do?
If and when you start paying salaries regularly you would understand

The girl who posted this on social media is very wicked and heartless jokes apart, i understand what the bank staff did was wrong, but she took this too far, She should have cautioned the bank staff to order, with shouting. She would be attended to. You kept quiet at the bank hall, just to come online to complain. Like seriously angry. If you shout and rake within the bank hall you must be attended to.

Why won't they care?

You think they want to lose their jobs?

So how many civil servants in Nigeria loose their jobs due to nonchalance, service failure and unproductivity at the various levels of government?

One thing I have come to learn in my many years in the service industry is that most Nigerians that can't tolerate poor service are actually people with poor character themselves.
I have had people that shunt cues in banks and supermarkets only for the same individual to start complaining again of cashiers being slow.
Nigerians are just too impatient most times.
I was not there, but I can bet it that there is no how in hell a banker can keep a customer for 30mins and be buying clothes, even her official break for the whole day is not more than 30mins (which I believe she is not even allowed to take at a stretch).
Re: Lady Calls Out FCMB Staff Who Kept Her Waiting While Buying Fabrics by Bossman(m): 3:27pm On Dec 17, 2022
Yes, she should lose her job! How is this even possible, that she is entertaining this in the bank while on duty? Some of these workers forget that they are there to serve the customers. An that without the customers, they have no job. What nonsense! I can't even believe that some are feeling bad that she will lose her job. This nonsensical culture of taking your customers for granted, and not taking the job seriously has to stop! No wonder the country is in the mess it's in today.

How is she wicked and heartless by reporting service failure? Was the bank staff kind by keeping the customer waiting?

Not everyone is unruly or manner less.
Not everyone knows how to shout or bark like a dog.
Reporting it this way will serve not only the offender but deter others not just in FCMB but elsewhere. It is called FEEDBACK.
This is the correct and more effective approach. It will lead to personal and organizational learning.
If you have ever paid salaries you would understand

Leave story. Talking about creating scenes, that is one thing no BM wants. Saying I am part of Nigeria' s problem is just being preposterous.
When you are not being well served well in a Bank, you have every right to shout and no security man should threaten you. Perhaps you need to grow up.

See your barbaric mentality. oh black man - the left behind race! You are part of nigeria's problem, the other person that responded to you has already done justice to you...
