This is the problem with nigeria and nigerians, it is all about levels and how high people's levels are, nothing to do with proffessionalism, believe it or not she is not educated, but you are allowed to believe she is. educations are not just about qualifications. Behaviours, atitudes are also part of a person's education

As for where we get our analysis, you probably forget that there are way too many bank branches in Nigeria and some of us are customers in many and some of us are probably staff that move across branches.

It depends on the bank, the bank I work for, it's contract staff that are sacked easily, not for core staff, most core staff retire if they want.

Its usually a practice in FCMB branches,they are not professional in doing things..how can a fabric man enter the banking hall ? Were are the security guards?what's the need for the CCTV camera's?
It clearly shows that one can enter the bank with weapons and the security will allow them access to the hall.

I was in a particular bank and noticed a teller was always receiving calls. I jejely went to the manager and told him whether the policy of the bank allowed staff to receive calls.

And since then, I have reported a customer services lady, a security guard, and an individual, servicing the ATM.

It isn’t about union. A core staff is a long term investment of the bank. They spend money to train and pay them. There is also a triage for punishment. Except cases of fraud, a bank would never skip every step and head straight to DISMISSAL. Highest they move her to another branch or give her a month suspension.

There are not many good CS staff out there and it took her a lot to get there. Customer service is the most draining branch unit as far as I am concerned. She won’t be sacked, not when her KPI is probably good.

I kuku know myself, I will talk and leave in anger, they will have to call me back! I had an incident with a customer service at the same bank and she was misbehaving, I left in anger. As I was about to leave the banking hall, one of the security men saw I was angry and had to promptly assign me to another staff at the same department. Reason I hate having anything to do with being in the bank.

At the same bank at one of the branches, a security man was showing favouritism during the height of COVID then, I promptly reported him to their Facebook page and I never saw him at the branch again.

If we don't report this misbehaviours, the country will get more rotten than it is! Even though, I notice ladies seem to despise men that are outspoken when people misbehave but that is none of my business!

In most countries outside, bankers don't even have time to sit. You stand from morning till you're closed for the day. Dereliction of duty is so common in Nigeria. Nothing like dignity in labour here.

Go to Alausa Secretariat and other government institutions. If 9:30am never nack, dem no dey resume work and when they finally resume, as shoe sellers are entering, bag sellers would be exiting their offices, then gossiping till they call it a day. We need to get things right from next year onwards or we remain in same position

Nah. It is not. People run away from CS regularly, especially men. That is because they do not have the patience for the paperwork and unnecessary duplicity. They work with multiple platforms. You enter it here, go to another place to enter it again.

You would see where CS officers are stronger than Operations Manager and Branch Manager put together. Ordinarily CS is part of Operations, but most times they run their own parallel government and there is nothing you can do. Everybody would be petting them, including marketers. Pursue them na, make you see how long it would take you to get another person that good.
