I don't know what that means, but I just want to ascertain if their product price is due to some inherent issues.

When I checked google, I was seeing share price instead of product reviews.

Hmmm doesnt sound right. You should be paid for the hours you worked. Even though you have no contract, I assume you at least talked about your hourly rates? This should be a no brainer.

Call citizens advice for , well, advice. They are verrry helpful . I wish I had taken their advice earlier on another issue.
Let us know how you get on.

Please help a brother. I worked for this guy for one week as a construction labourer and I told him I can't continue due to the weather, that the weather is affecting my health. He said if I stopped working he won't pay me, I thought he was joking oh. This is more than 4 weeks now, I have been asking this guy for my money. He said I bridged contract. We signed no contract. It was even when I told him I am stopping that he said it's a 12month job. To end every talk, he told me to get a doctor's report to prove health and he will pay me. I went to gp, they said it will take 6months.

Before I started the job, the only discussion about the job we had was that he sent me pictures of what they do and I told him it's something I will love so. Its in open field so when we started I began to see that the cold is killing. This is my first outdoor job in the uk so I didn't really imagined it will be that cold. I respected him and worked till Friday.

Please what ways can I use to get my money. Are there other legal ways to get a doctor's report? If I get a doctor's report from Nigeria will it serve?

Finally, please did I really do anything wrong? Do I really have to present a doctor's report to be paid?

Hello, my sister's husband is applying to join his wife who is already in the UK on a student visa, meanwhile their son is also a student in the UK but in a different city.

When asked if he has another relative apart from his wife, he added their son. Now the application is requesting him to choose where he is going to stay, he chose his wife's address and now it's asking for date of arrival and date of leaving.

Note, he chose temporary visa when asked their type of visa. Please what type of visa is student visa?

Please is it safe to put date of leaving as he doesn't intend leaving soon.

He chose the wrong visa category. If he’s going as a dependant to his wife. He will need to choose the option of student Dependent PBS ,

ILR update

5years don waka, we still dey Carry go oo grin grin....... Time really does fly.
Alhamdulillah for his mercies. Just like yesterday we came and now due and successfully applied for ILR.

Like everyone on the Tier 2/Skilled worker route knows, once you have stayed for 5yrs in the country you are eligible to apply for ILR. The application should be successful, all things being equal.

Another beneficial note some may not know is you are eligible to apply 28days before your first issued visa and any day between that and when you eventually got into the UK is deemed as "absence".

This date is one of the most important criteria for application and other documents required below

A. letter from employer confirming one is still required in that role and the salary is as per home office guidance and requirements
B. Ielts/Naric certificate
C. Life in the UK test (not difficult if you use the previous apps shared)
D. Payslip and bank statements
E. Consent forms for all applicants
F. Utility bills
G. Birth certificate for kids on Tier 2 visa
H. Biometric appointment fees £132 - £250 (this can be avoided with certain tricks shared previously)
I. Application fees - £2404 - £3204 - see screenshot below and start saving ooo.
J. Letter from your employer regarding any absence - main applicant ONLY

Also learnt kids born before you obtain ILR are eligible for citizenship after ILR approval so will be updating about that process later on.

All in all a smooth process, though the money it gulped for a family of 3 no allow us celebrate am well.

Please you all should address me now as fatima ILR oo, shoulder pad is High now grin grin

P.S- declare any speeding point on your licence as this doesn't affect your application as long as it wasn't taken to court.
Avoid any court challenges as this might affect your 5yr eligibility with a 2yr delay

Hi.

Thank you all for all your posts. Regardless of the ideological leanings they've been very helpful (at least to me) in picking insights across the spectrum.

I recently arrived as a dependant and it's been a bit tough, but like everybody says, I'll adjust.

I'm in the Newcastle area and wouldn't mind more experienced people who can give direction.

If there's also any valuable info pertaining to the Tyneside I'd be glad to receive it.

Once again, kudos to you all for the help you provide.

Hi, you can try other positions within the NHS. I suppose the advertised position for HCA already mentioned number of hours prior to applying.

You may consider applying to band 4 positions to secure sponsorship instead

Please I will be travelling out of the uk by march ending. I just realised that my passport will expire before then. I have applied for renewal and my biometrics date in London is End of January.

Is it possible for the passport to be out within a month? Is there a way to hasten the processing at the Nigeria house? As per Naija style. Pls tips will be appreciated.

Good morning people,

Please, between a company car and car allowance, which option is best for someone working in the construction industry as a site manager, not a tradesmen.

Old tricks, at some point that dead father will be found alive somewhere in the UK then all the years of lies will come crashing.

He should explore single mother as an option, after all, separated or divorced couple can reignite their love interest again.

It seems others are asking: a thread created - https://www.nairaland.com/7080230/how-apply-renew-nigerian-passport#118848406
You might want to ask there as well.
I suppose passport should be ready within a month. They should give an indication on confirmation slip when you go in for biometric? However, things at that high commission (indeed almost all other 9ja high commission globally) changes so often like Dublin or Cape Town weather.
Unfortunately, calling them is almost a waste of valuable time!
Someone mentioned on this thread about collection earlier. I'll try look for it if I can.

Ok, so can you get it within a day. It's possible!!! I won't advocate that route neither do I have a plug!
Regarding travel, Justwise indicated earlier with expired 9ja passport and valid UK permit, you might be good to go: as in 9ja trip to & fro. If there are stop overs or if the trip is not UK-9ja-UK

I understand your enquiry is about collection. Here's an earlier collation on 9ja passport in the UK -

The last thing you want is car related issue in the UK, go with known brands to yourself. Hyundai, Kia, Toyota are reliable and can be affordable to buy and run
