My friend got her PPR yesterday ...this is her testimony

Praiseeeeeeee the lord.... God has done it oooooo. 11th hour miracle.

Application for family of 4

I applied on the 16th of October and started sending series of mails and webform toward the end of November. Nov. 30th medical for only me was updated. Lo and behold I was refused on Dec 14th. I was down but as old solider who never dies, I quickly addressed the issue the VO raised. Repackaged myself and write LOE then reapplied on Dec 17th Saturday, by Monday I started firing webforms and mails again then 9:45pm December 28th, 11 days after I got the famous do not reply mail, it was correspondence letter. My heart was like eeeeee I hope this is not another rejection oooo. This is way too fast. On 29thDec 5:25am another do not reply.... It's PPR
We learnt a lot form this forum. Did the applicant herself from A to Z. Both first and second application
You guys are great. God bless you all. And Pls keep this forum as informative as possible alot of pple are learning from here

My program is in May 2023, I applied 9 of November and I got PPR on 29th of November.

Bamz555:

Ok but actually my question is that is it possible? Do they usually give PPR up to 2 months to resumption date? Or it’s usually some days or couple of weeks to the resumption date. As a lot of pple here got theirs this week nd January is resumption. Did anyone get PPR October or November for a January resumption is my exact question.

Still waiting other family members to be approved. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to ensure that theirs is treated quickly too. Resumption is Jan 9th

Thank u very much. More also pls do u know any other school that’s in same category or practice same?

University of Manitoba. They don't require tuition deposit. But if your course is a Thesis based program, then you have to get a supervisor from the school before you could apply. Getting a potential supervisor no be moimoi. University of Saskatchewan too doesn't require tuition deposit, but it's smae with University of Manitoba.

The thing is although it’s prayers and trusting God to do it. But I don’t want my wife to be too heavy bfr we travel that’s actually my concern. Everything na still God na why I deh ask about possibility of 2 months earlier to resumption date
Kindly note that if your wife is already pregnant, she won't be able to undergo Xray for Medical exam. In other words, she may not be given visa currently until she puts to bed and then undergoes the Xray.

I will suggest ways to show home ties even with family members in Canada and in no way condone your statement to lie to IRCC.
In addition to the points made by @Bobomaigida, your sister can get a job and use the job as a tie when she is ready to apply if she can demonstrate she intends to return to her job. This can be effectively shown by having her employer grant her a leave of absence. She must also have a written letter requesting a leave of absence. Where she is self-employed, she can register her business now and provide evidence that it has been in operation before the registration day. Proofs could be in pictures, invoices, receipts and communications with suppliers and customers. Also, she needs to demonstrate who takes over the management of the business to oversee its operations in her absence till she returns to take over.

Financial buoyancy is a home tie. Document her assets, if any, and prepare an excellent financial table of funds required based on the IRCC's criteria and show what she can provide in terms of available funds; ensure she has more than the minimum requirement and be realistic, using the actual budgetary cost of rent and living expenses for the city she would be living, this goes to demonstrate that she has done her research and is aware of the expenses of her temporary stay in Canada and that she has available and sufficient funds to take care of her expenses. It's acceptable if these funds are a gift from her siblings. A gift deed will be required.

Again, as mentioned by @Bobomaigida, letters from an association, clubs, and volunteers stating she is an active member; and pictures of events she has attended.

Now, For Canada, the applicant has two siblings. The applicant has a sibling for Nigeria and a job/business, assets, and support networks. Where is the “pull factor” stronger? The onus is on her to argue this in her SoP. Ensure the SoP flow with a logical sequence so as not to create doubt. I am sure you can build on these and other points others have proffered here.

Hello people.

Question:
I need your various inputs on what to watch out for and what to do in order to put in a successful student’s visa application come January 2023.

Context:

My sister has been admitted to a designated learning institution in Calgary (SAIT) to study for a 2 year legal assistant/paralegal diploma to begin in September 2023. We have paid the tuition deposit and have a letter from the school already.

She has 2 siblings (my sister and I) who are permanent residents of Canada. We will be sponsoring her application, fees and every associated cost. She will be living with one of us and commuting to school as we both own homes in the Calgary area.

Will our proof of income, tax filings, pay slips, etc be sufficient to show that we can foot the bill? I don’t doubt that we can foot the bill.

My greatest concern is showing home ties. Let’s face it nobody is really planning to go back to Nigeria but since IRCC prefers lies, so be it. How do we do this? Considering that she’s a student and doesn’t have a formal job to return to after her studies (she does run a fashion outfit where she makes clothes but it’s largely informal and nothing registered), our parents are late and we have only one other siblings left in Nigeria (who is also going’s to be applying for PR soon).

Also, we did one “try your luck” sibling sponsorship application that is still being processed. How do we navigate this as well.

She is currently in 400L in uni., (whether she finishes the program or not is not a big deal). The prolonged ASUU strike caused us to start exploring this option. Is this something we should be disclosing on the application or just keep quiet about it since she would not have completed the degree at the time of application.

I’m looking for tips on what to include and not include in the application to make it a success.

I believe you are good. Based on what you stated, you have the funds, job, business and properties to show ties in Nigeria, and hopefully, your program is related to your work experience.
Snooky:
Guys pls I need someone to tell me if this move is likely to come to fruition.

I want to apply for study visa together with my husband and 5 kids. My husband is the sponsor cos I work as a civil servant. He is a lawyer and ha his Chambers registered with CAC. We have about #10,000,000 and $56,000USD in our joint naira and domiciliary account respectively. School fees is about 38,000cad though which would be sorted with the #10,000,000 in the naira acct and we are about adding about #4,000,000 to that to complete the tuition fees which would be processed through form A.
NB: my husband is into partial real estate too and has receipts of transactions that runs in millions to proof that. He manages properties for clients and collects his lawyer fees too. He also has landed properties in his name and a rented 3 storey building that brings in funds too.

Hello Everyone,
I have a question.
For a parent that has study permit and Temporary Resident Visa, traveling with a child that is an American citizen. What does the parent need to have at hand for the child to be granted entry into Canada?

Thanks

n. I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://lawslois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations
(IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing
your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/

Yes, I have BSc in biochemistry and have worked for 6 yrs at the ministry of Agriculture as a produce inspector. Can a salary of about 40k convince the ircc of home ties? I got an admission to study food science technology at centennial college but I DNT just know how best to package my application for a family of 7. Some pple advice I go first and then put in their application once I resume school
