lol. I have been reading your posts in particular with glee. Not surprising your continued grandstands, which is why I didn't bother to reply your last mention. I no fit dey convince color blind person say this car is blue and not purple.

But just for fun, I want to say KunleAra pharmacy in Ibadan here, opposite UCH, the MAN wey dey there na your contemporary age-wise. I won't even mention Fiolu in Ilorin, not even Matador in Akure. Much less pple like Pax in Anambra or Capino in PH. KunleAra alone is worth your total net worth X3 at least doing this same pharmacy business. E sure me die. I already looked you up a month or so ago. Kunle Ara alone don do. I no even need mention the idumota guys like Jubilee, or other Lagos big wigs in the pharmacy distribution business, wholesale or retail. Kunle Ara in this small Ibadan don do. Infact kunleAra sef seems like overkill. He has been in the business for over 20years. Mary Kay that is a little over 10 years old here sef will bench you easy. Twins pharmacy, apro and J -Apro in Ado-ekiti sef go bench you easy. Point is even without calling Lagos guys or Onitsha head bridge guys, or north guys where dey buy drugs like candy, these 'within the city guys' in SW alone, all the major pharmacies I sold to as a med rep, 99% of them have made and are still making more money than you have ever seen in your career to date. Argue it, doesn't change a thing. I no know the jazz wey go stop me from doing the pharmacy business. Before the end of 2023 God willing, if something I'm working on doesn't require my immediate presence in another country, I am coming into the business big time as a franchisee of a popular pharmacy name here in Ibadan, and by God I will join the list of those big wigs in 5-10years. Keep feeling special bros. Even those with houses in the US valued at 5m and above don't pontificate to be rich. They consider themselves average, up and coming...lol

Happy new year to you. Good experience you have.

Few times I respond is mainly to correct wrong narratives so they don't linger.

Largely, there are two groups. Some from posts back have failed in their attempts to migrate hence hate. Others lack the mental know-how to compare issues across developed and developing nations. Between both are folks who could ve doing well for themselves but enjoy the sea of poverty around them. They can't stomach a better society

Sometime back one was comparing food prices and explaining how food was expensive in the west. After proper tutoring, he saw that food was at least 10x more expensive in Nigeria than in the UK.

Another is tax... I used to fear this before migrating but now, I laugh at my reasoning then. I still explain to them that paying high tax is a privilege many aim to achieve. These are countries that feed and house struggling citizens. It simply means, folks are encouraged to work so they don't depend on the government. Hence tax rate is hardly an issue. The higher, the better.

Another was when they used to mock migrating health workers. I had to explain to them how Nigerian health workers abroad were suffering and begging for food while their counterparts in Nigeria owned private jets.

Another is the current strikes fue to record high inflation of 10% in 2022 (highest in 40 yrs). Meanwhile, Nigerian workers have been battered by roughly 20% inflation for a decade.

Another is how diasporeans are suffering. But these abroad folks who constitute less than 1% of our population are able to send back remittances that equal our national budget. This is the 'change' they send back after paying tax and sorting their needs abroad...

Misconceptions go on and on. I stick to facts when responding. That way, it's not difficult to separate wheat from chaff.

All said, I'm not against those who want to stay back or those who want to migrate legally. No formula fits all.

Such arrogance.

So everyone who disagreed with you tried to emigrate or are not as smart as you are or they fall in between and don't like progress.

Silly talk.

Remittances to Nigeria was $20 bn in 2021 less than 4% of GDP. The bulk of GDP comes from hard working Nigerians who choose to make a difference back home rather than opt for a short cut to better living.

Some even turned down offers to travel out but you have the temerity to look down on them for not thinking and acting like you.

The returnees in music industry i.e Don Jazzy, Tiwa savage, Oxlade, Dbanj, banky w and so on are doing far better than you but are still humble enough to understand that people can still find success back home in Nigeria.

This is even only one sector - music. I haven't touched ICT, Fintech, Real estate, transport services, civil service etc.

You seriously overrate yourself.

Yepa!!!! Am in serious shock.

So their God given talent was not known to them till they travelled out. Like they didn't know this before travelling? Woooowwww!!!!

Back to reality.

Bottom line they became rich and famous here in Nigeria after returning from abroad not the other way round.

They did so because they saw potentials in the local industry and unlike you didn't write off Nigeria but returned to make their mark.

What makes you think you're using your HQ. What about the others that grew here locally who are equally making it Olamide, TU face, WC, Iyanya, Psquare, Asake, KCee etc.

They first travelled abi before they found their talent. May God help you to learn how to use your HQ

To answer your silly question - name the hard working Nigerians and their trade?

Just like the few examples above and the millions more pushing their hustle locally.

FYI. It is your place to find out not for me to mention them.

But here is an assignment for you. Checkout list of 10 richest men in Nigeria.

When you find anyone that ran abroad and made it from there, you know you have small sense.

This is proof that you hate self education, typical sign of ignorant 'na me get sense pass' folks.

Continue to write off the country and pretend to yourself that no one can ever make it from here.

Japaring is for people that have tried their hands here and failed or given up.

Some people are okay closer to home and they are doing fine without looking for short cut.

Don't forget to use your HQ there too. It is not about where the grass is greener but how you tend to the grass.

Read my post- used Budget not GDP

The diasporan remittance for 2021 was 20b usd
The national budget for 2021 was 13.6 trillion equating to between 27b usd - 35 b usd depending on the prevailing exchange rate used at the time ( cbn or parallel)

Remittance sent home by individuals is spare money left after attending to necessities where they're based.

The GDP comparison is equally impressive when you take into cognisance that GDP is one measure of the total economic activity... i.e stocks, oil nd gas, telecommunication, businesses in different sectors e.t.c

Money can be made anywhere. Japa is not for everyone.
That one made money in Nigeria or declined migrating does not mean inaccurate information about folks elsewhere.

Facts are facts...

only Japarains compare remittance to a National budget of a country to feel cool !like always quick to covert pounds to Naira income like BDC operators to feel fly! National budgets is expense accounts by the federal govt ! There still state and local govt budget like Lagos with a trillion Naira river 450 bn delta 400 imo 400 bn this are over 1bn usd each we have not added local govt which run into million of USD. But to feel happy Japarians like quoting just federal budget vs remittance! You 50 to 100 USD remittance is not use in runing the federal govt but your poor families hoping on your JAPA waka . If you send 100 euro from Italy to mama in Benin within concern National budget used to pay police and army. If you do care job and bicycle food delivery inside winter come sent 1000 pounds to buy land .it for you self .it does not add shishi to National budgets

Fasle!remittance money is not exclusively spare money. Due to uncertainty in the JAPA destination is form bulk of the Japarian income saved after leaving rough and basic for years! the Nigeria ashi in Italy are sending their main income home while staying in abandon homes in Italy. Other are residing in cramp accommodation in Ireland and UK sharing toilets and kitchen to save enough and send home! You hardly see Nigeria japarian on leisure ,vacation or stadia .Na from shift to shifts to send home the much needed USD. Only a tiny population are truely chilling ..all those taxi drivers in New York are living basic while putting up big houses home .

Japarians are suffering but can at least return 20b usd after sorting tax, accomodation e.t.c

How much would the 10 million out of school kids produce when they are grown?

Dude, you know me. I discuss facts not emotional opinions.

know you from where ..quoting 10m out of school kids in a conversion of remittance vs government budgets is not only emotional but has no bearing in the conservation! Only airline are taking 1bn usd from the Nigeria markets mr remitter ! Lumping all Japarian is emotional and unreasonable .So you been very emotional in your respond. Some Japarian are rich both in Niger and the UK or any where in the world ! Some Nigerians are top of their thing overseas. But for every 2 in this niche 20 are living in basement, poor housing .subrent and doing low life and dead end jobs they wouldn't touch with a pole back home . I go to the stadiums and event I hardly see any Nigerians just few very few. When I mean few we are really few ! Why I believe this NNPC conducted recruitment in 2017/18 many Japarains ran back to attend the Aptitude test ! Then NNPC entry level pay was around 280k per month and japarian where flying in from us ,Canada,.uk to attend!

They can save at least 1000GBP monthly if they plan their finances well. Even those with family can save 1000GBP a month on this scale of income if they manage their money well.

Here ednut, trust you’re well. Don’t you think 45m to 60k pounds a year is low after removing tax and living expenses?

You commented on my thread when I asked whether to choose big four or IB (actually went for the big four reason being that I want to japa too.

But then the money paid looks small, how do they save with 45-60k pounds? After tax and living expenses?

You Have Said It All bro.

I left Nigeria as CFO of an oil and gas servicing company through student route. I left with my family. But since the past 1 year, I have NO single regret coming here. Although there are challenges to put you off, which are normal in life.

I have finished my MSc with distinction and as best graduating student last October and has gotten a job already as a Lecturer based on my excellent academic performance. I don't know anybody! I have no connection like is obtainable in Nigeria! Who sit far away in Nigeria and said UK is not a great country. This is a great country that you will succeed in if you are excellent and hardworking. Just put your head down and work your way to the TOP!

Note, my formal Award ceremony is this Jan 6th but I have gotten the job to even resume before my formal graduation ceremony. I give JESUS ALL the Glory!

The reverse is the case where we came from- politicians have destroyed everything. No connection No job for you in the very university that produced you even when you have first class. Is that a country?

naijatisumi:
My advise for everyone run your own race. I have never regretted coming to the UK. I came in last year with my wife and 2 daughter. It wasn't easy but I can tell you it was worthwhile. I worked with Access Bank for 11yrs and I had to be working at a warehouse when I came in. It almost felt like Jeeeeez but I never regretted any of those experience. Even with my warehouse job I could save £700 convenience that's like 665k in Naira after sorting everyone and bills inclusive. Many people travel out of the country for so many reasons. Nigeria is blessed truly but a country of over 200Million where there is no room for the poor masses to push it through in life. No basic amenities, security is a joke. Now I can boldly save £1000 that is 900k as my wife is working fully now. That's triple of my salary when I was in Nigeria. Many of us came from a very poor background. I got a 5yrs permit, have been to France , Spain and Germany. I don't need to know someone before I achieve anything. I just need to work hard. Living here won't make you become a Millionaire but you can become anything. Opportunity abounds everywhere. You can live a good quality life in peace. I got a lot to talk about but I will stop here. If your Papa get money or you rich stay in Nigeria. But if you dey hustle bro JAPA asap. Opportunity abounds over here compare to Nigeria. Just be hardworking and take good care of yourself the world is yours

Lets always remember that the reason over 90% of Nigerians either identify as Christians or Muslims is mainly because other groups or nations forcefully spread their religion to us thru conquest.
If homosexual relationships were legal in the UK as of the time of colonialism, just like we speak english, we'd be singing a different tune.

Homosexuality hardly the world problem today. We have our women openly soliciting sex on our streets and people like you picking them up and coming to brag on NL. Let's start with that.
