The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has an office and a guest house in London, Peter Obi revealed on Sunday.

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate appeared at the Channels TV town hall for the 2023 general elections.

Obi’s running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed was present at the live session which had some Nigerians in attendance.

The former Anambra governor complained about the wastage in government, vowing to cut off irrelevant spendings.

“Ports Authority is what I’ve followed. Are you aware that the Nigerian Ports Authority is the only Port Authority in the world that has an office outside its country of operation?

“They have an office in London, they even have a guest house in London. Can you believe it? For running a Port in Nigeria?! We are going to remove them”, Obi vowed.

The NPA operates Lagos Port Complex, Tin Can Island Port Complex, Calabar Port Complex in Cross River, Delta Ports in Warri, Rivers Port Complex and Onne Port Complex.

Founded in 1954, the agency under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Transportation is currently headed by Mohammed Bello Koko. Its headquarters is in Lagos.

Is it bad for the NPA to have an office in London? The biggest city in the world? What if that’s a way of generating revenue for the NPA to become self reliant at the London office?
How will any sane president not want his country to have an efficient ports office in one of the biggest cities in the world.

This is the same leadership rascality we practice in government that the NPA has taken to the UK.

A governor in Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Osun or Enugu State has a governor's lodge in Abuja. Does he live in Abuja? Some even have in Lagos! Someone should tell the UK to come and set up their port office in Nigeria.

BTW, Nigeria has dealt with its own people and Nigerians are desperate to take back this country. Anyone who stands in our way will be consumed.

Structure of criminality.

This is the closest we have come to dismantling this structure. Tinubu and Atiku will only feed that structure and strengthen it, even more, to avoid a Peter Obi ever coming again.
Tinubu is already working that structure by spending recklessly without addressing issues or submitting himself for interviews or debates.
Peter Obi is the central talking point in his rallies.

Let's put Nigeria ahead and above religion and tribe. Let's vote massively for Peter Obi.

He’s absolutely right. I work with the ports and they have an office in London. It has been there for long though, not just during APC reign.
