A return ticket is not compulsory but if you aim at getting PTA, you will need it.

I would suggest Ethiopian airlines or Egyptair.

Except you want to use Qater airlines, you can pay for the return leg , apply for the PTA and later ask for the refund of the return leg when your are there.

Please I need help with info on switching courses/school.

My sister was advised to apply for a course related to her current job in Nigeria, because her BSc degree was completed 10years ago. Note that she doesn't like her current job (Marketing in a Bank) and would like to switch to a totally different course/career in Canada. She already has admission for a Marketing Graduate Certificate with the help of an agent, as they insist she'll get a refusal if the course is not related to her current job. Next step is for her to pay acceptance fee which is non-refundable, then 1st year fees deposit of 9k CAD by June 2023.

My question, can she get another admission in the course she prefers, but apply for a study visa with the Marketing LOA then switch afterwards? At what point would she switch courses? After or before landing? Will she still report to the 1st school and will they refund 1st year fees deposit or it's money wasted? Has anyone done this at Postgraduate level?

Please help, so she doesn't waste her time and resources. Thanks in advance

Firstly I need to let you know Marketing is lucrative in Canada. However if she does want Marketing she can always go for her choice of course but with a convincing SOP because of the gap and lack of progressing. However tell her to make sure if she’s changing her course it must be the same school within Canada or she loose her visa and start afresh.

Good Morning everyone

Please gurus in the house I’m a bit confused. For study permit visa application will one be submitting SOP or LOE? Or both?
From the Canada website I saw LOE.

But I’ve been seeing people submitting SOP. Are they the same please? And if they’re not what’s the difference please?

We're to submit LOE. I think people just say SOP out of convenience

If you are a first time applicant then you only need to write SOP but if you have been denied a study permit visa before or any form of visa from the CA embassy then you need to write a LOE thats just the different.

First time or not, Letter of explanation is the ideal because that what they call it on the portal. The name does not really matter, it's the content that they are after.

That's what I called my own as a first timer and I already got PPR.

Good day all

Please has anyone walked in to the vifs lekki Lagos office to submit passport for stamping?
Do you need to book an appointment before submitting passport directly?

That is incase you don't want to send by courier.

Hi everyone, is there anyone that submitted passport to VFS Lagos on 23rd and hasn't gotten a mail or the passport back?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by HopefulSuccess: 12:00pm On Jan 10, 2023
Someone should please help answer this question
Can I do a walk-in to collect my passport? I can see some people saying they went to VFS to get their passport but this is the email I received, though my passport is not yet ready.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by sos123: 12:10pm On Jan 10, 2023
is LOI sent as a mail or it drops on the IRCC portal.

Why is this canada thing stressful. I thought collecting passport was the last stress.

@johnstan please who did you mail. Did you send any document?

Thank you.

PPR update!

Submitted application on 13th Sept 2022 and got passport request this morning.

Please I need help, my original school resumption date was Oct 2022 which was what I used in the application. i deferred the admission till Jan 2023 due to the delays. I have applied to defer admission till September 2023 before this update came.

What do i do now as I just got this PPR? Do i inform the embassy on the new date? Or i just get the visa and wait till September 2023.

Gurus in the house please help.

Hello gurus in the house, I need some clarification

1) I applied for a 2years program in Conestoga College. However, on my acceptance letter the program starts from September 05, 2023 to December 15, 2024. Does this length count as 2 years?

2) For those that did property valuation, how do I go about it?
