Me, as the Dependant-
Application- 14th Dec 2022
Biometrics- 19th Dec 2022
Standard- there was no option for Priority on TLS for my application

Up till now, no decision has been made, application is still at DMC.

Sent paid mail twice, but they still said decision has not been made.
Do you have any idea what happened?

Hello,

Priority is always on the MA, the dependants can arrive at any time.

Please be patient, you can chase again and request for escalation if you don't get an update by the end of the week.

My fiance is a student of Salford University, she travelled last year Feb, we are planning to get married this week end and I intend to apply as her dependant next week. Pls I will like to know if it's possible for me to join her in Salford by February. And how to go about it since am not applying with her as the MA.

This response is the bitter truth most dependents don't want to accept. @dduchess Please as a dependant whose MA recently got the visa, can I use the unexpired Proof of funds and my personal account to apply for my dependant visa? I need 7605 pounds I have 2.8M in my personal account and the MA has an excess of 1.9m in its account. Can I present both accounts for my proof of funds so as not to be flagged for recycling funds or how do you advise I do it? Ma applicant's proof of funds was from Oct to Dec and I intend to show my pof from Oct to Dec 29, 2022, to prove it's not recycled. I will appreciate the advice if anyone has done the same successfully

Ensure that you can prove that funds aren't being recycled if need be. For this, it's better to have tuition receipts, rent receipts, outstanding tuition, and maintenance balance for the MA to show that the funds are different.

Tip1: I read all pages of the thread and digested, I took screenshot of every scenarios to avoid posting questions that are not necessary here.
Tip2: PLAN! PLAN! PLAN! yourself well before coming down. Have some funds that you can fall back on for feeding and rent before you get a Job. Thanks to my friend who has been accommodating us.
NB: We've been here for +1wk, I have applied for over +120 jobs here in aberdeen and outside. "Unfortunately, we can not proceed with your application this time, we have too many applicants.... bla bla" This line became the norm, lol.

Observation: Aberdeen if so full with limited jobs.

This is not to discourage anyone coming down to the UK. I am just sharing this based on my own personal experience as i am still optimistic to get one. To everyone preparing to japa, kindly do a lot of research on location, some places are in UK that you won't get a job and the standard of living is very high, it's not about you being given offer or not. You should also have a skills

2. Also did you pay for priority? if yes. Then it means your visa has been decided and your passport ready for collection.

3. Check on your tracker and see if it is on Received by VAC

Please I need your views

Someone close to me did her bio 30th November with her departments

She got NFS after about a week

She responded the following day with required documents

After about two weeks, she did several paid mials and calls, no decision yet

The last paid mail she did, she was told her case has been escalated that she will be contacted in 15 working days

One of the dependant tried to make a paid mail but kept on getting this below


Please what can the family do?

it means exactly what it says. Contact centre staff will not divulge the outcome of your application. Once a decision is made you will be contacted and you can also track your application.

have it in mind that if you dont receive a refusal email. then you can be positive on the outcome of your visa application

Exactly what is in the email. they are in the process of making a decision and once a decision is made and/or your passport is with the VAC, you'll be contacted or will see the change on the online tracker.
