DriveByKiller: I understand your position totally. However, I'll beg to differ based on impact. Consider a situation where the man has a first son outside his home. Or a case I personally witnessed where a man has 3 daughters with his wife and finally got a son from his 'girlfriend' outside which the wife didn't know of. In this particular case, tje man's brothers and sisters were all aware and kept quiet about it because they claimed they were considering his wife's emotions. However, when the man died, these same relatives agreed that his belongings belonged to this son since the girls will marry and go away. Infact, they even told the wife that she can stay in the house as long as she liked but the house belongs to the boy whenever she leaves (or dies). I do not think that her pain is less than the man who experienced paternity fraud. 3 Likes |

kulikuli45:this took place in the East, right. The good news is that that decision can be challenged in court. There are established legal precedents already. How do we challenge paternity fraud after everything? 2 Likes |

It’s not just in the north, it’s in every state. Men started it, but na women go finish am for them and even scatter the table sef. From the time of our forefathers, where men think they can do and undo without being chastised, they cheat on their wives and even decided to call it Polygamy all because of greed. Still happens in this age. When a woman cheats on her husband, she is tagged a slut but when a man cheats on his wife he is being referred to as a man being a man. Some women have taken it upon themselves to enjoy same freedom men have given themselves when it comes to sexual immorality, unfortunately men don’t get pregnant else maternity fraud would be worse than what paternity fraud is which is the men’s saving grace. The fear of loosing out in the equation is what brings about Paternity fraud. Make una enjoy your life 1 Like |

IamMobisola: Imagine if they got pregnant LMAO! Then there would be no issue to begin with because they’d just make it a normal phenomena rather than a punishable offence! Let them manage it like that 1 Like |

Franklydes: Let me, let you, into a little secret, most other men know that it’s their child, but they plot with the woman and stay quiet! Right here on NL there are some men who know that it’s their child, but they don’t say shi because they’re also in a committed relationship… it’s a 2 way street. |

kulikuli45: So if I get you right , he should have died without a son and left his property and his name to be ruined? Placing too much emphasis on a female child , shouldn’t be done . Thank God for IVF now , one can target exactly what he wants with some money. In as much as we will try to sooth the pain of others it is necessary to let it known that all sex of children is important in a marriage … Just when a man dies, we will get to know if he will truly lives on. |
